CHAPTER11
IVY
The weeks had flownand easter break was soon upon us. Of course, Regina was going home, and she was taking Jude with her. I was staying here at West Coast. I had messaged my parents, but they just came back with the same old spiel.
They were too busy.
Fallon and I were in a good place but taking it slow. She was getting slaughtered by this anonymous texting bitch. We had no clue who it was, but they were getting a little too personal now.
Sitting in English, Fallon sat on the desk next to me while we waited for Professor Buckley to show.
“Did you hear back from your mum?” I asked her but she just shook her head.
“She’s too busy with the election and campaign to have me home for a few weeks.” She sighed and I could tell it bothered her a lot more than she was letting on.
“Well, if it makes you feel any better, I’ll be here too,” I gave her a weak smile, anything to put her beautiful smile back on her face.
“You will!?” she squealed.
I nodded
“Sleepovers, food, netflix…” She licked her lip slowly.
“Chill,” I winked.
We hadn’t gone all the way, we were happy just exploring and enjoying each other. We had both said we wanted it to be special, so we wanted to wait for our end of term graduation in a few weeks.
My mind rewound quickly as I remembered what Fallon said.
“Sorry, did you say your mum was running campaigns for an election?”
“Yeah,” she shrugged her shoulders up, “why?”
“My dad… he works for the mayor that is running for election.” My eyes widened.
“Shit, your dad is my mum’s assistant mayor!?” her voice was a little louder than she intended.
I nodded.
“Well, fuck,” she sat back in her chair as she turned to face the front of the class.
Professor Buckley walked into the room in his tweed jacket and perfectly styled hair as he dropped his battered briefcase on his desk.
“Afternoon West Covers, who is ready to learn?” His voice echoed round the classroom.
Ugh, I wanted it over with already.
