By them.
I swallow the lump that is creeping up my throat, I ignore the bile that is burning my windpipe.
“Oh, that,” she laughs slightly hysterical, “yeah, I just wanted to get your attention,” she licks her lips.
“By acting out?” I roll my eyes, taking another step away from her, “because if that’s your big plan to woo me then your efforts are poor…” I stop for a moment, my eyes connecting with hers. “You won’t get my attention, if anything you’ll push me away from you.” I smirk, before turning on my heel and walking away.
“I’ll get you,” she calls out a little louder, her voice strong, “eventually.”
I turned slowly to meet her gaze one last time.
“Yeah, yeah, go fuck yourself,” I smirked, flipping her off before turning and storming into the boarding school.
Slamming my bedroom door shut, I shoved my earphones in and blasted my music until I couldn’t think of anything else apart from my music.
* * *
After half an hour,I was still restless and unable to settle. Throwing my hand down on the bed, I stormed up towards the door and walked out into the ghostly, quiet hallways. I didn’t get very far when I heard a snicker from behind me. Snapping my head round, I expected to see Fallon but no, it was her posse. Bianca and two girls who I hadn’t seen before. I smirked, my eyes drawing up and down her body in disgust.
“Eurgh, look who it is… the skank.”
I scoffed, rolling my eyes, “Says you.”
“Watch your mouth Ivy, it’s three against one.”
I shook my head from side to side, not fazed by her words. She stepped towards me, her brows digging in, her eyes dark as they burned into mine.
I stepped back, not wanting the gap to close between us. I wasn’t scared of her, but I didn’t particularly want to get into a brawl with her.
“You can’t run Ivy,”
My back hit the wall.
“Not running,” I panted as I felt the rage coursing through me, ready to react at any moment.
“You’re nothing but a gutter skank, heard your already making your way round campus.”
I laughed loud, my head tipping back as my laugh echoed round the walls.
“Says you, bet you’ve spread your legs for everyone.” I snapped back at her
She pressed her body against mine, her hand gripping my chin as she licked her lips.
“Let her go.” I heard Fallon’s voice boom. Bianca snapped her head round, her hand dropping from me. I felt a slight ache on my skin where her fingers had dug in, I rubbed it tentatively trying to ease some of the pain.
“Or what Fallon, why are you all protective of her suddenly… thought she was nothing more than a piece of shit to you.”
“Fuck off Bianca,” Fallon grabbed her shoulder, pulling Bianca away. Fallon stilled, turning slowly as she glared at her bitch of a friend.
“I suggest you go back to your room and leave us alone…” Fallon’s words hang on her tongue as she steps towards Bianca once more.
“Go.”
Bianca scarpers away, her two friends following.
She spun quickly, her eyes scanning my face as her fingers trailed over my skin.
“Did she hurt you?” I could her the concern in her voice as her soft touch trailed over my face.
“No,” I grabbed her hand and pulled her fingers from me.
“Ivy…” she stammered, “I…”
“Save your words Fallon, I didn’t need you saving me,” I scoffed, pushing her away from me and walking back to my room.
