“Think that’s up to your mom.” I told her with my heart pounding.
“She won’t mind,” Collins whispered.
Fifteen minutes later when Cam walked in with my guitar, and then Collins said, “Hey Uncle Cam.”
He looked shocked for a moment, then he smiled widely at her and said, “Hey there, beautiful.”
“Did you know that today is my birthday?” She asked with a tired twinkle in her eyes.
I turned my head so fast it caused whiplash, because we hadn’t discussed that, and I wondered why the hell Conleigh was working on her birthday. But knowing that she was more than likely working there for the money, I simply smiled, “Well then, today is lady’s choice.” I told her as I readied my guitar.
