Exactly. Liam spoke with his Momma often enough, hadn’t she taught him better? Didn’t they sew in Canada?

“Those are your dating skivvies?” Mikah asked. He left unsaid what he thought of that, but his tone implied censure. “You’re better off going without.”

Liam didn’t answer, just rubbed the back of his flushed neck.

“Commando’s not sanitary.” Kiernan frowned. “What do drawers cost in Canada? You do know you can buy them here?”

Two players exited the locker room, took a curious look at the table’s new centerpiece, and left.

Piper wanted to shove Liam’s underpants out of sight, but honestly, given the personal nature of the returned items, he’d have to do that himself. What he really needed to focus on was how he’d been with a woman for four years and the detritus on the table was all the evidence that the couple had comingled. Not good. Was committing an issue with all the Snowers? They needed a therapist as much as they needed a Purity Minder.

Another group of players walked out of the locker room. This group definitely gave the table a lengthy look, though they headed out without a word.

Kiernan took the shaving bag, used the end like a hockey blade, and pushed Liam’s boxers onto his lap. “We need to get you an endorsement for a boxers’ company.”

Liam straightened.

There, the dude just needed a few solutions. “I’ll work on some ideas for you for a girlfriend.” One who didn’t want his money. Still, women had standards, she’d add new underthings to his team travel gift bag. Guess it wouldn’t hurt to bulk buy and gift all the guys with fresh undergarments for the road. She’d email the equipment manager to get their sizes. The things she did for her paycheck.

Mikah stared between Piper and Liam.

Piper wanted to help Liam find a date? No way.

His bro didn’t need a Purity Minder solving his relationship woes. Liam needed a rebound.

Mikah sent off a text to the guys, suggesting they ask the women they’d been chatting with up to the Vegas bash. Done.

Now, Piper could keep her focus where it needed to be, on him.

Piper went up to Dahlia’s office after she finished in the conference room.

Dahlia let her in. Her eyes looked red and her mouth defiant.

Piper had been about to describe Liam’s holey drawers and ex drama, but concern flitted through her and she shifted gears. “What’s wrong?”

Dahlia shot her gaze to the double doors leading to Dodo’s office. “I told Dodo about the plan for us to join him in Vegas.” Dahlia went over to her club chair and sank down. “I thought he’d be excited, but Dodo acts like I don’t trust him. He went on and on about his blackjack table time, like I was asking him not to gamble.”

Piper pressed her lips together. They’d only had the plan for an hour, but the thought of a ladies’ Las Vegas weekend had caught hold of her. “We’re not going?” Piper took the chair opposite her cousin.

Dahlia’s eyes hardened. “Oh, we’re going, I’ve already emailed a few of my sorority sisters. We’ll make an even bigger showing, invite a few of your female friends, I’ll cover their flights.”

“Sure.” She’d have plenty of takers for that offer. Piper took out her phone. Calista’s words about not getting asked out sprang to mind. “Cool if I invite Calista too?”

Dahlia wrinkled her nose. “Love her, but…Calista doesn’t dance. Or date. Or chat. Would she even want to go?”

Good question. “I think it’s time to up her social game.”

“You’re right, add her to the list.” Dahlia made a motion like she was dealing out cards. “Tell her to leave her laptop at home.”

Hah, like that would happen.

They both snickered, and Dahlia’s cheeks picked up more of their usual peachy-pink hue.
