“You are gross.” Nicole wrinkles her nose and makes a face at Leah.

“You just wait. Pregnancy boobs are the bomb. Baby sucking all the life out of your boobs is not so good. But…” she sighs and releases me. “The kids are awesome and the men waiting on you hand and foot because you’re giving them this awesome gift – that makes it all worth it.”

“Are you nervous?” Nicole asks.

“Scared spitless. You?” I shake my head. “I don’t know what in the hell I’m doing.”

“Me, either.” She laughs. “It’s insane. I feel like my brain is zapped, I’m exhausted all the time, and I can’t get enough dick.”

“Hey, I’m not complaining.” Lucas ambles over with a cocky swagger.

“So, I’ve heard,” I smirk.

“What did you hear?” His eyes narrow in question.

“Trey said something about a crazy sex session at Leah and Aaron’s house the other night.”

“Fuck.” Nicole’s face turns beet red, and she throws her face into Lucas’ chest.

“I told you we needed to go to my place.” Lucas wraps his arms around her.

“I know. This is so humiliating.”

“Whatever.” Leah rolls her eyes. “If you didn’t care at the time, why care now?”

“Because.” Her voice is muffled against the fabric of his shirt.

Trey joins us. “What are you talking about?”

“Sex,” Leah, Lucas, and I say in unison.

“My favorite topic.” He waggles his eyebrows, grabs my hand, and tugs on it. “Come here.”

I grin and fall into his arms. As they continue to rib each other, Trey leans down, and whispers, “Wanna go make out?”

“You do realize that’s a stupid question.”

“Yep.”

“Lead the way.” I laugh and follow behind him to Travis’ private office. Nicole might be embarrassed by people knowing she’s having sex, but I feel no qualms about it. I can’t get enough.

When the door shut behind us, I wrap my arms around Trey’s neck. “I’ve missed kissing you.”

“Yeah? It’s been at least fifteen minutes.”

“An eternity.” I drag his head toward me and plaster my lips against his. Never enough. As his mouth devours mine, I settle into the peace that being with him brings.

The fact my father lied to me grates on my nerves, but it doesn’t matter. I’m back with Trey, where I belong. My father is a part of my past and won’t have a place in my future. Like Lillian, I won’t allow him to pollute my children.

They will never know what it’s like to be yelled at, hit, or to wake up to the smell of booze and cigarettes. The experience made me stronger. I don’t hate that part of my story anymore, but I don’t wish that shit on anyone. Thank God, Trey is nothing like my father. None of the men in my life are.

I run my hands down Trey’s chest and rest them on the edge of his jeans. He cocks his head and leers at me with heat filled eyes. God, he’s sin on a stick.

He growls, “I love your fucking mouth. Kissing you makes me hard.”

“How hard?” I wiggle my eyebrows and snap open the fastening.

“Hard enough to drive nails.”
