Before he can continue, I meet Michelle’s eyes.
“How does the special sound to you?”
“Delicious.”
I nod, pleased.
“We’ll take two,” I tell the waiter. “No need for the menu, thanks. But can we get some red wine? How about a Cab?”
“Of course, sir,” the waiter nods. “I’ll put that order right in for you, and your drinks too.”
After he leaves, I turn back to the beautiful woman and savor her beauty. Michelle’s features are delicate, with a small, upturned nose, big blue eyes, and a mouth made to be kissed. Her raven hair flows in waves over her shoulders, and I can’t wait to run my fingers through those silky tresses before pulling them tight around my fist and pushing her mouth down on my rod. But right. This isn’t just about fantasies. I need to get to know Michelle for my job as an undercover, so I settle myself and smile.
“I can tell you want to ask me something, so go ahead, sweetheart. Ask me anything.”
She giggles.
“Well, for starters, where are you from, Mr. Culver?”
I chuckle.
“That’s easy. I’m from right here in New York City.”
Her eyes widen.
“Really? There aren’t too many native New Yorkers these days.”
I nod.
“Yep, but I’m one of the few. I grew up in Queens, and then moved into the city for college. After that, I basically never left.”
This is true because my family really does live in Queens even to this day, so I’m not lying per se. And I did attend NYU before the Police Academy, so that’s true too. Michelle nods.
“Wow, amazing. Have you been a member of the Club long? I know I’ve never seen you here before.”
I nod.
“Sort of. I mean, does one year count as long or short? I know some guys have been members for much longer than that.”
She nods.
“I suppose, but I’m surprised we haven’t bumped into one another before. Then again, there’s a rotating cast of girls because some ladies are basically in and out in six months like a revolving door. It comes with the entertainment business because there’s just a lot of turnover. But did you know someone in Club Z? That’s how we find most of our members.”
I grin and wink at her.
“Nope. I’m a rich man, honey, as is every male client of the club. As a result, management actually reached out and offered me an invitation to join. When you’re wealthy, things have a way of finding you. You don’t even have to look because it’s like having a beacon over your head. People follow the money, and fortunately or unfortunately, I’ve got lots of it.”
She cocks her head at that mysterious statement.
“I see,” she murmurs. “But what do you do for all that money, Mr. Culver? Sorry if this is too twenty questions. I can stop if you want.”
I laugh.
“No, no harm in asking. I don’t mind. I’m a businessman,” I say simply. “I founded a firm called NFT Ideation, and it’s really taken off. We basically work with celebrities to help them monetize and sell NFTs. You know what NFTs are, right?”
Michelle nods slowly.
“Non-fungible tokens, right? I admit, I don’t exactly know what they are, but it’s something to do with blockchain, right?”
I chuckle.
“Yes. I’m going to geek out for a moment, but basically NFTs are unique cryptographic tokens that exist on a blockchain. They can’t be replicated, and often represent real-world items like artwork and real-estate. “Tokenizing” these real-world assets allows them to be bought, sold, and traded efficiently, and that’s what my business does. We help creators market and sell NFTs for the highest possible price. We also do some trading of our own, but that’s strictly a side business.”
She nods, eyes wide.
“That’s amazing. It’s nice meeting a man around here who works at the forefront of a new industry. It’s exciting.”
I chuckle.
“I’m glad I have your approval, honey, because I imagine you meet all sorts of impressive men in your line of work.”
At that moment, the server arrives with our food, and the entrees are set before us, steaming and delicious. Michelle’s eyes light up, and immediately, she digs in.
“Mmm,” she hums blissfully while chewing. “You’ve got to try the beef. It’s delicious.”
I wink.
“I was rather enjoying watching you devour yours. It’s sexy watching you eat. I’ve never seen a woman so sensual before.”
She giggles, shaking her head.
“Oh you! You’re such a flatterer. But I’m serious about the beef. You don’t want to miss out on this while it’s hot.”
Taking her advice, I dig in, and she’s right. The beef really is great, but then again, Club Z prides itself on its food. I know the formal dining options inside the compound are worthy of Michelin stars, except that of course, no reviewers are permitted. Still, eating this food is like savoring a tasty slice of Heaven. But I also want to get to know Michelle, so I sip my wine and smile.
