One I had mastered the recipe and made them several times on my own, I brought her one to try and she said I had a natural aptitude for baking and offered me a job in her bakery! So now I have an occupation, which is nice—much better than my former life of staying in my rooms all day, waiting for either a public appearance by the Royal Family or for Baslik to come and poke and hurt me.

Ugh—I have sworn not think of him or mention him again, but in this entry, I must break my own rule, for I have news!

It seems that not even a week after Sark and I fled from Fenushia Alpha, there was a revolt back on Telmar Two. The people of the Northern Continent rose up against the Le’rank Royal Family and every last one of them was killed or sent into exile.

My sister-in-law and her surviving child were the two who were exiled, by the way—they were not seen as threats, since they are both female. But the Prince and his remaining son—Baslik’s twin—were both beheaded in the middle of the Public Square and the palace was looted and then burned to the ground!

I can only imagine my own fate if Sark had not come into my life, just when he did. I shudder to think of it. Not only did he save me from the pain and misery of being married to Baslik, he kept me from a dark and terrible end, for which I shall always be grateful.

We make love almost every night and he brings on my glow regularly. I still have the nectar in my breasts and the honey rain occasionally, but Sark doesn’t mind. In fact, he tells me he enjoys easing the ache that grows within my breasts and pussy at these times.

Liv—who is a doctor—has examined me and has told me that the nectar in my breasts will turn to milk, once the babies arrive. Yes, I said babies—two of them!

This is the other news I have been bursting to write. For only this morning I went for a blood test and had my pregnancy confirmed. Liv put a few drops of my blood into a little machine and two beautiful blue flowers came out, indicating that I will have twin boys. And because of my genetics, I know they will look just like Sark! (Though Sark says he hopes they have at least a little of me in them too—most notably my dark eyes, which he says are very beautiful.)

In light of my pregnancy, Sark has decided to leave his job as an independent Security Consultant and work aboard the Mother Ship, which is much safer and more secure. He will be consulting with Commander Sylvan, the Head of the Kindred High Council, on matters of security and the safety of the ship. Apparently in the past there have been incidents of sabotage—Sark is going to be certain the defenses are tightened so that nothing like that ever happens again.

Sark still has his ship, and we go out and explore in it sometimes—always using stable wormholes, because they are safe for pregnant women. We go to wilderness worlds so that Sark can let his Ice Drake out to fly. I have become very fond of the huge creature, who saved me from Baslik during my late husband’s last mental extremity. I truly believe he would have killed me if not for the Drake.

He is quite fond of me too and Sark tells me that he can hear his thoughts and communicate with him, just as I can speak to him mentally when I am touching his lovely blue scales. He was sleeping all Sark’s life until he met me—which was why Sark thought he didn’t have a Drake inside him at all. Sark says that until I came into his life, the Drake had nothing worth disturbing his slumber. It was only for me that he woke out of his long hibernation and I am ever grateful that he did.

But though we like to travel, mostly we are very happy here in our lovely suite aboard the Mother Ship. It isn’t as fancy or lavish as my old apartments back at the palace—there are no diamond chandeliers or solid gold fixtures or priceless fur rugs—but I am ten thousand times happier and more content.

I only wish that Nana could see me now, with a husband I love and esteem, who also loves and cherishes me. However, sometimes I feel she must be looking down on me from the beyond. Maybe she even asked the Kindred Goddess to help me.

For Sark has told me that it was the Goddess who told him to take the job of guarding me, when Baslik offered it to him. He had initially been going to turn it down, because he didn’t like Baslik and he thought the conditions of the contract were strange. But then the Goddess spoke in his ear and commanded him to take it.
