“Things here will differ from anything you’re used to. You do not want to make an enemy out of me. I don’t give a single fuck about who your parents are. This is my house now. You’ll play by my rules, or you’ll face the consequences.”
Yada, yada, yada.
“Is that all?” I quirk my eyebrow.
He releases the papers, and I scan them.
“A map of campus. Your dorm information, classes, and key card. Your ID is your next stop over in Jackson Square. You’ll be excluded from classes today, but I expect you to be on time tomorrow, bright and early.”
He picks a pencil off the table and flips it around his fingers like I do with a knife.
I climb to my feet and grab my bag. “Yes, sir.”
The pencil snaps.
I turn and grin as I pull the door open and strut out of the room, his eyes once again burning a hole in the pleats of my skirt.
