Instead I pull up to the small airport, parking, and then looking at Kinsley. There’s a look of shock on her face.

“Luke, what are we doing?” she asks.

“It’s a short flight, is that okay?”

“Yes, but oh my goodness. I wasn’t expecting this,” the shock is still in her voice.

I get out of the SUV, help Kinsley out, and then grab our bags.

“I’ll get those Mr. Drake,” the steward tells me, I hand them over. We’re only going a couple hours away. Just a short trip to Seaside in Florida.

Kinsley has told me how much she loves being surrounded by the water, my house being on a lake helps, but I know the beach will be just as fun.

“Thank you,” I tell him.

“Ready Kinsley?”

“Am I ever, you have me on the edge of my seat wanting to know where we’re going,” I can see the unsettledness in her body. I know just what to do to calm her nerves too.

As soon as we’re in the air, I’m hoping to help her relax in all the right ways.

We make our way inside, take our seat, and Kinsley whispers into my ear, “I still can’t believe we’re going away.”

“Believe it, this won’t be our last one either. Our future is in the palm of our hands,” I respond.

My hand finds hers, while we wait for the crew to get everything ready on the plane.

“I can’t wait to make more memories with you. In just the short amount of time we’ve been together, my life has been ten times better than it ever has been,” she sighs, Kinsley’s head is on my shoulder.

I kiss the top of her head, “It really has been. I’m so glad you wrote me those sweet nothings and continue to do so. If not for you, I’d still be working all day and night, not giving a damn about today or the next day,” I declare.

“Thank you, Luke. Thank you for everything,” she lifts her head up, and I take that as my opportunity to kiss her. We’re lost in our own moment until we hear a throat being cleared.

“We’re preparing to take off, if you could please buckle your seatbelts,” the steward says and then leaves.

“Whoops,” I say, we both buckle up, laughing the whole time.

Kinsley

Yesterday flew by, and it’s been a whirlwind of activity. Now that today is Valentine’s Day though we’re here in an amazing beachside bungalow on Florida’s coast. Our small town and the chilly weather long forgotten.

Luke and I slid on our bathing suits this morning, and now we’re down at the beach. Luke is drinking a beer, I have a strawberry daiquiri in my hand, and life is good.

“Are you enjoying yourself, baby?” Luke asks, while we’re lying in a cabana the beach rents out.

“I’m having the best time ever,” I respond.

“Then I’ve done my job,” the look he has on his face, the way his eyes skate over my body, it makes me want him right here and right now. Too bad there’s way too many people around.

“Well not yet,” I say saucily.

“Oh, Kinsley, the things I’m going to do to you, just you wait,” he croons.

“Check, please?” I joke.

“Not yet, don’t you worry. I’m going to have you every way you can imagine this weekend,” Luke’s voice is husky with need.

He watches me as I rub my legs together, trying to quench the need he’s creating inside of me.

“I can’t wait,” I reply, my own voice not sounding like my own.

We spend the rest of the day being beach bums. Luke knew our first day would be half over by the time we got here, but tomorrow he’s got a few things lined up.

Luke’s hands are on me the whole day, with light touches here or there. At one point I have to stand up, “I’m going down to the water, want to join me?”

He follows me, the water is still too cold to fully dive in and play, something I mentioned to Luke that I would love to come back and do during the summer months.

We walk along the beach, our toes in the water, sometimes I’ll run from the water other times I’ll stay as it nips at our heels.

At one point, Luke jokingly picked me up fireman style and I yelled, “Don’t you do it!”

“You don’t want to go swimming with Nemo?” he jokes back.

I don’t let go of his sides, if he throws me in the water, let’s just say he’ll go down with me.

We stay out by the beach, watching the sunset below the water. It was so beautiful to watch, and the best part was watching it with the man I love.

I can’t hold it in, I turn to him. He looks down at me and I let it out, “I love you Luke Drake.”

“God, I love you too, Kinsley Alexander.” Our kiss is soft, sweet, and affectionate.
