He jerks away immediately. “What? Are you alright? Did I hurt you?”
His concerned gaze makes me want to cry. This man is my man. My one true love. I smile softly. “I’m sorry. I just remembered that I smell really bad. And you’re so clean and beautiful. I’m gonna get your nice clothes all dirty.”
“I don’t give a fuck. The only thing I care about is you. And this. To me you’re always a vision. Even if you were a fucking mess, I’d love you. But there’s just no way you could ever be a mess.”
“Humph! I think you hit your head.”
“Nope. This is love, sweetness. There’s no other words for what I feel for you. You’re the one thing I need. The only thing I love. If my club didn’t exist. If I spent all my time on the beach sleeping and I had nothing in this world but you, I’d be a damn happy man. Because my life is you. Forever.”
“That’s the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard.” Sobs shake my body and I wrap myself around him, trembling like a leaf in the wind. “I love you too.”
“Good. Because you’re never going to be out of my sight again,” he huffs.
I laugh and lean into his warm embrace, loving the safe feeling that wraps around me just because of him. My eyes close and I sigh into his throat, the last thing I remember the clean, fresh scent of him tickling my senses, making me smile.
