“I love you guys.”

They all started sniffing and hugging each other, saying they loved each other, too.

“Now stop,” Bella yelled loudly. “No crying.”

They all giggled and nodded and then jumped when someone knocked on the door.

“Girls, is everything okay in there?”

“Yes, Daddy,” Kinley yelled.

“Okay. You have about five minutes, and someone will come back for you.”

Nia raced to a bag on the bed and pulled out a bottle of wine and plastic cups.

“Let’s do a few toasts.”

Lacey got nervous. “Oh, I don’t know. I’m not a big drinker.”

Sienna snorted. “None of us are. It’s just white grape juice.”

Lacey giggled and took the cup Nia handed her.

Kinley raised her cup in the air. “Here’s to a beautiful bride.”

They all cheered and then sipped their juice.

Bella raised hers.“Here’s to the daddies.”

Each one of them made a toast, and they just got funnier until they were all laughing. They were going around again when someone knocked on the door.

“Hey, guys, are you ready?”

“Yes. Come in.”

She was a little surprised when Devon walked in and immediately scowled.

“Are you girls supposed to have alcohol?”

Lacey shook her head. “It’s not. It just grape juice.”

His shoulders relaxed, and then he smiled.

“Girls, you need to line up.”

Sienna ran to another bag and pulled out flowers. The bridesmaids got small ones, and she got a bigger one.

Lacey grinned. The bouquet was all white and made of roses, baby’s breath, and other flowers. “You guys thought of everything.”

“They even decorated,” Devon said.

Kinley nodded. “The daddies and friends helped, too.”

“Before we go, Cason has a present for you.” He pulled out a velvet box and opened it. In the middle was a necklace with a large diamond, and small sapphires surrounded it.

She gasped. “Oh, my, that’s beautiful.”

“Can I put it on you?”

“Yes, please.” She turned her back to him and lifted her hair.

When she turned back around, the girls gasped.

“That’s so pretty, Lacey,” Bella said.

She touched it with her fingertips and smiled.

“Hey, would you mind if I walk you down the aisle, honey? I know we don’t know each other well…”

“I would love that. I was afraid I’d be shaking so much I’d trip.”

Devon chuckled and held out his elbow, and she slipped her hand through it.

Music started, and Kinley was the first to walk out. She went so slowly, Lacey didn’t think she’d be up at the altar within ten minutes.

“Girls,” Devon whispered. “Don’t go so slow.”

Lacey giggled.

Lacey and Devon stood right outside the bedroom doorway.

“Ready?”

She smiled and nodded. “Yes.”

“By the way, I think you’re the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen.”

Lacey started fluttering her eyelids. “Oh, please don’t make me cry. Bella will kill me.”

Devon laughed and started them walking down the hallway.

Her heart felt like it would beat out of her chest at her first sight of Cason in a nice black suit and white shirt waiting for her.

It was like a fairy tale.
