Caleb jumped in the shower and washed before pulling on a pair of shorts and diving into the bed. He was exhausted, and he knew the next day would be a bitch because he’d have to deal with Drusilla, the witch.
He didn’t understand why people were afraid of the woman. She was nothing but a cold, heartless, greedy bitch, and if he had his way, he’d show the world she was nothing. There were several things he needed to get done.
One, he wanted to get some cameras set up in the apartment. He had a feeling Helen would try anything to get him fired or worse. And he’d have one of his techs check into her financials.
She didn’t understand yet that he was a force to be reckoned with, and she was nothing. She had no power. It was going to be a great day when she finally got kicked to the curb.
He needed to talk to Bella and see what her feelings were. He hoped she wanted her mother out of her life, but that was all she’d known. Maybe if she knew he’d be there for her, she could take that step. He’d make sure she was taken care of, no matter what. If it ended up not being him, he’d find someone to take care of her.
That was another question he’d have to deal with down the road. How far was he going to take care of her? It was something to consider. He found her utterly adorable, sweet, and funny, and he was excited to get to know her.
God, he was getting so far ahead of himself. They had time. At that moment, he needed to sleep.
