She glances back with a smile and a sigh. “Love you, too. And your dick and your tongue and all your other parts. I’m so glad they’re mine.”

“Me, too.” I kiss her cheek before I pull out and collect some napkins from the bar to clean up the condom mess. “Should we order food? I’m suddenly starving.”

“Same. Sex and happiness make me hungry.” She stands, pulling her tuxedo pants up as she adds, “Oh, and Evie and the others will be here in an hour or so. They’re eating their pizza at home, but they want to take us bowling after and make fun of us for taking so long to realize we’re perfect for each other.”

She shrugs back into her coat and runs a hand through her hair. “I tried to talk them out of it, because bowling is disgusting and I want you all to myself like the selfish beastie I am, but I think Evie wants to make sure you’re okay. And Cameron needs a night out because his boss just sold the business and everyone at his restaurant is stressed out about getting fired. And Jess finally sorted out her coding nightmare and wants to hunt peen. I warned her that a bowling alley isn’t the place for quality peen, but she’s determined to lose her V-Card before Cameron because she’s competitive as hell, so…alone time will have to wait.”

I take her hand. “That’s fine. We’ll have time to be alone later. You’ll be sleeping over at my place every night until I leave, I’m assuming?”

She smiles. “Except the two nights we’ll be at my parents’ house for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Lucky you, you’ll get to spend more quality time with my crazy family very, very soon.”

“Luckiest man in the world,” I say, and then I kiss her again, because I can’t resist her lips. And because as long as she’s with me, I’m pretty sure I could enjoy a full-body wax, let alone a couple nights with people who love Harlow as much as I do.

“So, Gram wasn’t mad that we lied?” I ask after we’ve ordered food and settled at one of the tables with our drinks.

Harlow shakes her head. “No, she wasn’t. It was like she already knew somehow.” She shrugs. “Guess we weren’t as good at acting as we thought. But my parents still think we’re engaged, so we’ll have to deal with that at some point when we get there next week.”

“Or we could keep up the ruse a little longer,” I say. “Let them enjoy the holidays and then figure out a way to tell them we’ve decided to put our wedding plans on hold for a bit, later. We could blame it on the distance or something.”

She takes a sip of her martini, then nods. “Yeah. That sounds good.” She lifts her left hand with a wry smile. “I still have my ring, so we’re set on that. At first, I forgot I had it on and then I just…didn’t want to take it off.”

“Good,” I say. “It looks good on you. Nearly as good as that corset.”

She bites her bottom lip as she grins. “Yeah? I figured you’d like it. I saw it hanging in my closet and thought—this is the kind of outfit a man who likes to spank women during sex would enjoy.”

“Not women,” I say, leaning across the table to steal another kiss. “Just you. And only when you’re a bad girl.”

“Spoiler alert, I plan on being a bad girl tonight,” she whispers against my lips. “Very, very bad.”

“You’re going to cheat at bowling and need to be punished?”

She hums her agreement. “I’m going to cheat so hard. And leave my rental shoes under the seat instead of returning them to the counter.”

“So bad,” I say, my cock thickening again at thoughts of the night to come. “You might need to be tied up and spanked after a stunt like that.”

“Yes, please,” she says, pulling away from the kiss with a grin as the server arrives with our salads and calzone.

We eat our meal and Harlow whips up another round of drinks that we nurse until Evie and the others arrive.

Upon bursting into the room, my sister takes one look at my face and her shoulders relax with a sigh. “Oh, good,” she says. “You’re in love, too. I thought so, but I wanted to make sure.” She claps her hands. “Aw, you guys are so cute! I’m so glad you finally realized fucking is more fun than fighting.”

“Stop,” I warn her, pointing a finger at her mischievous expression. “I’m not discussing that part with you.”

“Me, either,” Harlow agrees. “Though I will say that the perfect first person is worth waiting for. Totally worth it. And that spanking is way more fun that I thought it would be.”
