My legs open for him as he settles between them, my legs hitched on his hips and locked behind him. “Oh, this is a lot better,” I say, and I can feel his covered cock lining up with my covered core.

“Alex,” he hisses with his teeth clenched together as his mouth comes down and crashes onto mine. His tongue slides into my mouth, and my hips lift, making him groan into my mouth. My back arches, making my nipples tingle when they push against the cotton of my tank top. I’m about to rip my tank top off when Dylan moves his mouth and body away from me. He gets off the bed, his chest rising and falling as he looks at me lying in the middle of the bed with my legs spread open. My nipples are pointing through the white fabric, leaving nothing to the imagination. “You.” He points at me, and I look at him, his cock outlined in his white boxers. “There is no time for this.”

“Umm, I beg to differ,” I reply, smiling and turning on my side.

“We have to get to the rink,” he says, and I glare at him. “The last thing Maddox needs is to show up and me not be there. I made a pinky promise.”

“Well, can you pinky promise me that tonight we can make out?” I hold out my hand for him. “Like a hot and heavy make-out session.”

He laughs, coming over and wrapping his pinky with mine. “Fine, twist my arm.” He kisses me, and Mac sticks her head up from the floor. Seeing us up, she jumps on the bed and comes to my side, her tail wagging back and forth.

“I’ll let her out,” Dylan says. “You get dressed.”

“She likes when you throw a couple of ice cubes in her water,” I say to him as Mac follows him slowly.

“You spoil her!” he shouts, and I don’t answer him because I totally spoil her. I even got someone to come over twice during the day to take her out for walks.

Getting out of bed, I go to the closet and grab a pair of blue jeans that are torn in the front and an oversized white shirt that is short-sleeved and falls off the shoulder a bit. Slipping on a pair of white sneakers, I walk into the bathroom and brush my hair and my teeth. Walking out of my bedroom, I spot him walking out of the spare bedroom, wearing blue shorts and a polo shirt. “You look pretty.” He kisses my lips, and it feels like we’ve been doing this our whole lives.

When we get to the rink, I’m surprised to see Wilson is there at the same time. “Hey,” I greet him, getting out of the car. “You’re here early.”

He nods at me and then looks over at Dylan and glares. “Figured I would get in so you can bring me up to speed.” Last night after Julia called me, I sent him a message asking for him to drop by this morning. “I see she allowed you to come in.” He looks over at Dylan.

“What can I say?” Dylan shrugs. “I won her over with my charm.”

Wilson laughs as we walk in and come face-to-face with Julia, who is sitting on the bench with Maddox. He looks like he’s exhausted and he didn’t sleep, but his eyes sort of light up when he looks up and sees us. “Good morning,” I say, squatting down in front of him. “How was your night?”

“Okay, they had food,” he answers as if he won the lottery, and my heart sinks when I look up at Dylan.

“You ready to get dressed?” Dylan tries to push down the hurt he is feeling, but I can tell in his eyes that it’s a difficult thing for him. When he told me the story yesterday, it was the first time he’s ever spoken about the hell he lived in. I heard stories through the grapevine, and I remember a bit from when I was younger, but to hear him relive it was torture for both of us. Especially since I couldn’t do anything to help him. “Can we get on the ice early?” Dylan looks at me, and I smile.

“It’s breakfast first and then ice time,” I tell them both. “You can head up and have something to eat before getting on the ice.”

Dylan huffs out and then looks at Maddox. “Let’s grab some grub,” he suggests, holding out his hand, and just like all the other times before, he ignores it and gets up. We all watch them walk up the stairs. I let go of the huge breath I was holding while I watched them.

I wait for them to be out of sight before turning and looking at Julia. “Holy shit, I don’t know how you do this every day,” I say, sitting on the bench next to her.
