Chapter Seventy-One

Maxim

She acted like she didn’t know me, and I got off on knowing that was our little secret. At least, for now, keeping it as a secret ignited my blood and gave me great pleasure to know I had sucked on her sweet pussy only a couple of hours ago.

As the night went on I tried to keep my eyes off her but it was almost as though she was dressed to torture me. Her blouse was sparkly, and low cut and the glimpse of her full breasts was more than enough to remind me of how they felt in my hands and tasted in my mouth.

Her dress ended somewhere on the middle of her thighs, the fair skin of her legs glowing softly in the dim ambience of the club.

She smiled at something Tom said to her, and the way he leaned in close to her churned my stomach. Her eyes sparkled as she gave all her attention to him and suddenly my temperature began to rise.

“Now that Maxim’s here does anyone want something to eat?” Bianca asked. “We can place any special orders to the kitchen and they’ll have it made for us.”

“Perks of owning the place,” Levan said.

“Perhaps some sashimi?” Aldie said. “I’m craving some.”

“Alright,” Bianca said and started to move away, but Levan caught her by the waist and pulled her back down on top of him. “Everyone here should take care of their own damn selves, instead of having my wife run around.”

“Stop being such a bear,” she protested, but to the amusement of the room, he began to instead nuzzle her neck.

“I’ll handle it.” Freya rose and Aldie did the same.

“Relax everybody. The manager will be here in a minute,” I announced, tapping at the screen of my phone.

Soon enough the manager arrived accompanied by two waitresses.

“Sir,” he greeted, while the waitresses placed bottles of champagne and liquor on the table. Bianca ordered platters of sushi rolls and sashimi.

“Freya detests fish,” I said.

The whole room turned to me and then to her. She turned bright red.

“Why didn’t you say anything, Freya?” Bianca asked.

“Ah, it’s alright. I’m quite happy with the rice and seaweed rolls—”

“No, that won’t do,” Bianca said firmly. “How does some tacos sound? Or grilled chicken sandwich?”

“Tacos would be great,” Freya replied.

“How do you know that Freya doesn’t like fish” Aldie asked mischievously.

I turned my gaze to hers. “I think she mentioned it to Gary once.”

“Ah,” Aldie said knowingly.

The issue was clarified, I poured myself a glass of scotch and settled in to enjoy the show.

“You knew Levan when he was a boy, didn’t you, Freya? What was he like then?” Bianca asked Freya.

Freya turned to him. “How much is this worth to you?”

Levan laughed. “Play your cards right and we can come to a suitable agreement.”

She smiled at Bianca. “Levan was a charming child. Even then a lot of girls were besotted by him, but he ignored them all, of course.”

“See, I was always waiting for you,” Levan said, kissing Bianca on the tip of her nose.

“What about Maxim?” Aldie asked.

Freya didn’t even bother looking at me. “Um … I didn’t know him very well then.”

“You were closer to Maxim than you were to me, Freya,” Levan pointed out, a golden smile on his face.

“Actually, I was not!” she said heatedly.

Levan was just trying to bait her given what he suspected of our relationship recently, and I couldn’t fault him. I was thoroughly entertained.

“Does uh anyone want to dance?” Britney asked.

“I’ll dance,” Freya said, and Aldie drained her glass. “What the hell? I’ll come too.”

“I’ll accompany the ladies,” Tom said, and got up to go with them. Just before he left however, Levan warned him, “You better not hit on the wrong woman if you don’t want your head on a platter by the end of the night.”

Tom looked confused and then turned to me. “Who is the wrong woman?”

I sipped quietly on my scotch.

“You’ll find out…” Levan said, “when your head is off your neck.”

He left the room and Bianca looked between the both of us. “Am I missing something?”

“Maxim here is in a passionate relationship with Freya,” he said.

Her eyes almost popped out of their sockets in shock as she ran her gaze between me and her husband. “Levan, I’m going to smash your head into this table,” I said.

She hit him on the shoulder. “Why didn’t you tell me? So it means that when I called earlier this morning and Freya was… because I swear she sounded like…”

“Yup,” he said. “He was probably in the sack with her.”

“I need some air,” I said rising to my feet.

“She’s loosening you up, man,” Levan called out after me. “And I like it.”

I didn’t disagree. I liked it too.

Chapter Seventy-Two

Freya

I danced with Britney and Aldie, but couldn’t help sneaking peeks at the cube above the dance floor. Suddenly, I realized he wasn’t even sitting there anymore and felt silly for being so obsessed with him. I let out my pent-up anxiety and tried my best to have fun with the girls. Britney came close to me as she danced.
