“Yes.” Tayte nodded. “An Alpha,” he pointed to himself. “A Beta,” He pointed to the medium sized, rather striking guy, and then the smallest, “And an Omega.”

I grinned. “The perfect combination.”

“The perfect family,” Tayte said. “All we need is our Fated Mate to complete us.”

“And that’s me?” I asked.

None of this was surprising me. Quite the opposite. It was reinforcing what I’d already heard about the wolf shifters’ Fated Mates, and what Nevaeh had said.

I wasn’t scared of them.

Tayte’s eyebrows fluttered up and down. “Well… yes. You don’t seem worried by all this.”

I bit on a cracker and chewed. “I’m not.”

“Ah, not that I’m complaining, but why not?”

I shrugged. “I already knew that you guys were doing th

e triad thing. And I don’t mind looking after you all. My job back at the den was to clean an entire apartment block. And I can cook, too.”

Three men would be easy to look after. I wasn’t used to the sex side of things, but I could learn.

Surely, it couldn’t be that hard.

Tayte’s lips kicked up on the sides. “You think we want a… a… housekeeper?”

I looked from Tayte to Dane, surprised by how happy and relaxed I was feeling in their presence. I wasn’t sure I could trust it.

I didn’t know them. They could be as violent and horrible as the bears if I gave them enough trust.

But I didn’t have much choice, not with the bears’ edict and my pregnancy. So, I was willing to give them everything I had in the hopes it would be enough.

At least for us to be safe.

“Well, yes. Isn’t that the role?”

Tayte began to laugh and so did the other two.

“She’s too beautiful to be believed,” the Beta one said, collapsing into a chair.

Well, that was a nice compliment. Maybe he wouldn’t turn on me if I kept talking.

I looked at him. “Sam, right?”

He nodded, smiling broadly now.

“Um, why are you laughing at me?”

He looked me straight in the eye. “Because we thought we’d have to convince you to mate with all of us, and you seem ready to jump straight into the role.”

He grinned again and my belly tightened. Not with nausea this time, but with an arousal I’d never felt outside that night with Tayte.

He was gorgeous, and that smile of his was amazing.

But back to the conversation at hand.

“Well…” I was simultaneously mortified and flattered that they were all saying they wanted me. After years of being rejected by the den where I grew up, the idea of three men all wanting to mate with me was… well, flattering.
