“What are you doing?” She looks at me in confusion, and I give her a serious look.

“Stay like that.” I clench my fists at my side, wishing I could fuck her all over again. Seeing her like this and knowing this is the best way to get her pregnant has my cock throbbing between us.

My hand goes to my cock, and it’s still wet, so I run my fist up and down while I watch her.

“Again?” she asks hopefully.

“Not yet.” I shake my head and then let go of my cock. I’m just teasing the both of us, and it’s not helping my control.

Just then there’s a noise in the distance and it sounds like someone talking. “Get dressed.” I grab Natalie’s clothes and help her out of the chair and into them as quickly as possible.

“Why didn’t someone call and tell us they were through the snow?” she asks as we hurry.

Once I’ve got my boxer briefs and jeans back on, I race over to where our phones are lying to see the signal is gone on both of them. “Shit, our phones aren’t working. They probably tried.”

I grab my sweater, and when I turn around, I see her looking at me with wide eyes.

“What’s wrong, princess?” I say as I immediately go over to her and pull her in my arms.

“What happens now?” she says, and when I open my mouth to answer her, the door to the honeymoon suite busts open, and I see Natalie’s friend Jen and possibly Natalie’s brother or cousin with her.

“It smells like sex in here,” Jen says, and I move Natalie behind me.

“Get out and we’ll meet you in the lobby,” I say, and my voice lets them know this isn’t a discussion.

“Great, now I’ll never be able to see my children,” the man behind Jen says as he covers his face and walks out of the room.

“Payback’s a bitch,” Natalie yells from behind me, and I’ll have to ask her about that later.

Once they’re gone, I look at Natalie and hold her face in my hands. “Let’s get out of here so we can talk about what happens now. Okay?”

After a moment of hesitation, she nods, and then I smile at her. My expression must reassure her, because she goes up on her toes for a kiss. I’m already coming down to meet her when she does it, and although I want to kiss her right here for the rest of our lives, we need to go.

“I’ll grab your things,” I tell her, and she nods as she puts her boots on.

It doesn’t take long to get everything, and as I look back at the honeymoon suite, I wonder if this inn can even be salvaged after the avalanche. We haven’t seen the damage, but it only took about a day for them to dig us out, so it couldn’t have been too bad. I’ll be really disappointed if this room doesn’t make it. Because some serious magic took place in these walls.

I take Natalie by the hand, and we walk out to the lobby to see a large group of people assessing the damage. There are also several people taking out boxes of what I assume are valuable things Mrs. Eliza needed to rescue. I don’t see her around, but I need to thank her for lending me the room, even though it almost got us killed.

Natalie turns to tell me something, and right then both of our phones start going off. She grabs hers and laughs as she shakes her head. “I’ve got about fifty text messages from Jen.”

“Hang on, my assistant is calling,” I tell her, and she nods. Taking a few steps away from her, I answer the phone, and Josh is on the other end. There’s tropical music playing and it sounds like he’s outside. “Hey, did you find out what I needed?”

“Have I ever let you down?” he says in greeting. “And yes, we can do everything you need through digital contracts.”

“So I don’t need anyone else’s signature to do it?” I confirm.

“No, and it won’t take long,” Josh agrees.

“The sooner the better. I want this done as fast as possible so I can be finished with it. I don’t care how much it costs.”

“I’m emailing it to you now.”

“The second I have that contract and the deal is done, I’m gone,” I say.

“Done. Now go have fun with your lady. I’m going to have another margarita.”

“I’ll call you later.” I’m smiling when I hang up, but then I turn around and see Natalie is looking at me with tears in her eyes. “Princess, what’s wrong?”

Chapter Fifteen

NATALIE

“Nothing,” I lie, trying to fight the tears. I thought I had it all, and now it’s slipping through my fingers.

I guess now I know what that phone call was all about. I want to be mad at myself for allowing this to happen, but the truth is, there was no stopping it. Plus, when I look back, I know that I always choose love and that at least I tried.
