“I love you, Viking. Best date night ever. I’m so glad we bought the storefront next to the club to turn into the dance studio. Super convenient,” I tell him, but then I remember something, and my brow furrows.
He tilts his head adorably. “What is it?”
I narrow my eyes on him, my nostrils flaring once again. “Fight you? You like it when there’s a challenge, huh? What was that about?” I remind him of what he said during our role playing.
“What? That shouldn’t be surprising. You were the greatest challenge of all,” he says, leaning in to kiss me, but I jerk back out of reach.
“How so? If I recall, it took one damn barre class for me to beg you to put your dick in my mouth.” I raise a brow, feeling a sense of feminine pride that my words seem to make him shudder with want.
He pulls me tighter against his chest, even as I playfully fight him. “Ah, goddess. How quickly you forget the entire year you spent living in my house before you even felt comfortable enough to look me in the eye.”
I give him a small smile. “Fair enough.” After a beat, I add, “Thank goodness for Scout boy. If it weren’t for that dog refusing to leave me alone, abandoning you and claiming me for his own, who knows how long it would’ve taken for us to get to where we are today.”
“Yeah, you tend to do that. My little klepto,” he says, kissing my forehead.
“Klepto?” I squeak, twisting to look back up into his smiling face.
He nods. “Yep, my klepto. Stole my dog, then stole my heart.”
