But tonight, I’ve selected the lounge on the second floor as our rendezvous point. To my delight, Lindy’s already here. She’s seated with her back towards me at the bar and when she shifts slightly, the breath catches in my throat because she’s so sexy in a black minidress. Hot damn, the hem is so short that it barely covers her large ass, and if she turned around right now, I’d probably get a glimpse of her glistening pussy. But I like it. Anywhere else, a dress like this would be considered scandalous and down-right hooker-ish. But not at Club Z. The women around here regularly waltz around in tiny little see-through nothings, and sometimes they even take them off if you ask nice.
Still, I’m excited and growl as I slide onto the stool next to hers.
“Hey sweetheart.”
The pretty blonde looks up, a ready smile on her face and my heart flutters.
“Hi Julian,” she murmurs. “I’m glad you could make it.”
“As am I, baby girl. Thanks for coming, but first: what are you drinking?” I ask, eyeing the clear liquid in her glass with surprise. “Vodka straight? Not even an olive?”
She titters.
“No, this is just water, but I can be tempted into something stronger if you like.”
I pretend to think.
“I seem to remember you’re a fan of martinis. Shaken not stirred.”
“Good memory,” she says with another giggle. With that, I order her martini and a scotch on the rocks for me as we fall into easy conversation.
“How was your day?” I ask as my eyes rove over her generous figure. Shit, this dress is even better from the front. Not only is it scandalously short, but there are cutouts beneath her breasts so that I can see the bottom curve of her large tits. Mmm, I’d love to run my tongue along the crease where her breasts meet her chest. But at the very least, we need to make some conversation just to be civilized even if I wouldn’t mind tearing off Lindy’s clothes at this very moment.
She smiles, as if she can read my mind.
“My day was okay. I worked this morning, so I’m a little tired, but otherwise, I’m good.”
I grin as I sip my drink. “That’s understandable if you have another job. Tell me, what do you do for a living? Or is that top secret?”
She smiles sweetly and my heart melts.
“No, it’s not a secret. For the most part, I work as a hostess here at Club Z. My day job, though, is as a barista at a little coffee shop in the East Village.”
I nod.
“Do you like it? It would drive me crazy pulling shots for NYC denizens.”
Lindy laughs and shrugs. “It’s fine, but as you can imagine, my pay as a barista doesn’t even come close to paying the bills, so I need my Club Z job to make ends meet.”
I nod.
“Understandable, seeing how the cost of living in NYC is skyrocketing. But how do you like being a hostess? How did you become a hostess, if I may ask?”
Lindy blushes. “Well,” she begins, biting her lip.
I take her hand.
“Out with it, honey.”
She giggles again while blushing.
“Well, would it be strange if I said my cousin got me into this and that I enjoy hostessing? That I find the job satisfying and even rewarding?”
I shake my head.
“Not at all. I appreciate the honesty, actually.”
She smiles and nods.
“Yeah, I think most men expect to hear that the girls here all have from abusive pasts, and that we would never do this job if we had another choice. But it’s not true for me. Actually, I enjoy my time at Club Z, and management is excellent. My direct manager, Nicole, invests a lot in me, and checks in a lot to make sure things are going smoothly.”
I nod.
“Yeah, this is a well-run place that relies on its employees, so I imagine it would be a decent place to work.”
Lindy nods, her blonde curls bobbling.
“It is. Plus, the owners are very generous. Have you met them before? Clay and Casper Richmond are identical twins, so I imagine you would know if you have.”
I nod.
“I do know them, but not well. I take it you guys are friendly?”
She shakes her head. “Not really. Not one-on-one or anything like that. But I became friends with Mara, their wife, and when she had a baby shower, I attended and it was great. You do know that the twins consider themselves married to one woman, right?”
I shake my head.
“No, I wasn’t aware actually.”
Lindy slaps a hand over her mouth, her eyes wide.
“OMG, I just let the cat out of the bag!” But then she relaxes somewhat. “It’s not really a secret around here though. Clay and Casper are open about their relationship, and they adore Mara and their baby. Sienna’s the cutest thing, and they’ve brought her around a few times.”
