Paula stared at Sally, and she saw her shoulders sag. Sally was definitely intimidated by this guy.
“That’s because you’re an asshole,” Elise said.
Sally cleared her throat and straightened her shoulders.
“Leave, Garret, or we’ll call the police,” Sally stated.
“Go ahead, darling. They let me go because they know you aren’t anything but a cocktease. You’re a little whore like the rest of them. You should be grateful that Keiffer and I even want to touch you.”
“Get out.” Sally raised her voice.
“You know you want it, Sally.” In a flash he stepped between Elise and Paula and grabbed Sally’s wrist. He yanked her against him as he held her throat under her hair and whispered against her ear.
“G, get him!” Elise yelled, and then Garret released his hold and raised his hands up as Sally coughed and held her wrist against her chest.
“No worries, man, I’m out of here. I got my message across. Later, girls, and be careful out there.”
Garret and Keiffer walked out on their own as Elise and Paula hurried toward Sally.

She didn’t want to cry. She wouldn’t cry despite his despicable words and threats. He told her that he was going to tie her up and make her his sex slave. He said if she didn’t comply that he would start hurting her friends. She was terrified.
“Slow down, Sally. Are you okay? Are you hurt?” Elise asked, and Sally stopped.
She cleared her throat as she held her hand against it. Her wrist was throbbing, too. She was walking toward the hallway and back room. She needed to be alone. She was better off alone.
“I’m fine. It’s over. He won’t try to come back in here again.” She tried to appear calm despite the fact that she was anything but calm.
“What an asshole he is. He really thought he could waltz right in here as if last week never happened,” Elise stated.
“Yeah, and then he grabbed you. What the hell did he say to you?” Paula asked.
“Nothing. He just growled in my ear. He was trying to intimidate me and I’m not falling for it. Don’t worry. It’s over.”
“I called BJ. That asshole is going to get spoken to in the least if not locked up for what he did to you. Are you okay?” Michael asked as he brushed Sally’s hair aside to look at her throat. The tears stung her eyes. He obviously saw what was happening from the surveillance cameras and headed down immediately.
“I’m fine,” she tried to say, but her quivering lip nearly made her falter. “I need to use the ladies’ room.” Sally hurried away, closing the door behind her.
She looked at her wrist and saw the deep red finger marks. She felt Garret’s hot, wet mouth against her neck. It made her feel sick. She grabbed some paper towels and wet them then added the hand soap to the cloth. She rubbed it against her neck as she saw the redness around the front of her throat. He could have strangled her right there. He could have ended her life if he wanted to, he was so strong. Garret was monstrous. His hand could easily wrap around her throat and break her neck. She shivered with fear.
She recalled his words as he threatened her.
You can’t hide from me. I always get what I want and I want you. You’re going to be my sex slave, all tied up and naked just for me. You better do as I say, or I
’ll kill them to get you.
The door opened and two women entered the bathroom. She fixed her eyes and tried to take a deep breath. When she exited the bathroom, Steven was standing there with Michael and Susanna. She nearly gasped at seeing Steven. Did he see Garret when he exited Dixie Chix? She hoped he didn’t get involved with this situation. God, she made such a mess of things.
“I can’t believe he actually came here. Are you okay, Sally?” Susanna asked. Sally nodded her head as she raised her eyes up to Steven. He was dressed in dark jeans and a button-down black shirt, and his hazel eyes bore into her. He was such a handsome man. He looked sophisticated, mature, and tough.
“BJ is on his way over,” Susanna said.
“No, don’t call him. He can’t do anything about Garret. It’s not like he can arrest him for threatening me.”
“Did he threaten you?” Steven asked, sounding very stern.
“It’s over. I’m okay.”
