“No funny stuff, baby doll. Just a first date, really casual. We’ll pick you up at your place around noontime? How does that sound?”
She licked her lips and both men seemed to follow her movement. She felt a tingling sensation inside and knew damn well that she never felt anything like this before. She was so attracted to both men it was crazy.
“I don’t know. I don’t really date,” she whispered. The band was loud and they couldn’t hear her as Chad and Michael stepped closer. She sensed their masculinity, and being surrounded by them right now made her nervous but also aroused. She imagined them hugging her together with her smushed in between. It would probably feel amazing. She was such an idiot. She couldn’t be stupid about this. They may not be who they seemed at all.
“Please trust us. One date and if it’s awful then we never have to do it again.” Michael placed his hand on her waist and gently brushed his thumb back and forth over her skin where the waist of her skirt met the camisole that was lifted a little higher. Chad stroked her chin with gentle fingertips and tilted her face up toward him. She looked at him and locked gazes with his blue eyes.
“We’ll pick you up at twelve. Dress comfortably and bring a sweater. It may get windy later in the day.”
He released her chin then stepped back. Chad and Michael smiled at her then walked away.
As she tried to control her breathing, she realized that she had her first date ever tomorrow and with two men. Holy shit she needed to talk to Sally. She frantically looked around until she locked gazes with her sister. Sally opened her arms palms up as if saying, “So, do you have a date or what?” When Alexa nodded her head, Sally gave a fist pump as she yelled “Yes!” then hurried over toward Alexa.
I hope I didn’t just make a huge mistake.
Chapter 5
By eleven thirty, Alexa was a nervous wreck. Her hands were shaking and she was trying to tell Sally, Paula, and Ava to quit messing with her hair.
“Okay, enough already. You’re all making me so damn nervous.” She grabbed the red sweater and started to place it on over the black top Sally had picked out for her. The top was tight and low cut like most of what Sally had chosen for Alexa at Stella’s Boutique.
“Why are you putting the sweater on now?” Sally asked.
“Yeah, honey, you’ve got great breasts, you ought to show them off,” Elise added. Great, now all she needed was for Susanna and Ava to chime in with suggestions. She fixed the sweater so that it covered her up. Immediately she felt warm, but she would suffer feeling overheated instead of feeling exposed. She fixed her hair, straightened out her black skinny jeans that showed off her shapely figure, and pulled the red sweater down lower so that it covered her ass.
“For crying out loud, Alexa, show what the good Lord above gave ya.” This time it was Paula who came next to her and fixed the sweater so that it revealed the tight-fitting jeans on her ass.
“Urrr! I am so damn nervous. I should cancel. I really don’t think this is a good idea. I don’t know what to even do on a date.” She rambled on as she plopped down onto one of the stools in the kitchen by the islan
d and counter.
“Lots of things can happen,” Juliet stated with a smile.
“Like what?” Panic overwhelmed Alexa.
“Holding hands, smiles across the table, muscular thighs brushing up against yours,” Elise whispered.
“The smell of their cologne, the way their shirts stretch across big, hard muscles making your mouth water, and other body parts watering, too,” Paula teased.
Ava fanned herself. “Hot damn, I need to go out on a date.”
They all chuckled, but Alexa sat there feeling sick to her stomach.
The sound of the doorbell ringing brought everyone to attention. The women fussed over her one more time as Susanna walked toward the door as if she were the parent checking out her daughter’s date. This was so nontraditional in every aspect. From living in a house with other women, having her cousin as her protector and guardian answering the door for her date, to her date arriving and being two men instead of one. What the hell am I thinking?
She was about to bolt out of the kitchen and through the back door when both Sally and Ava grabbed her arms.
“You will be fine. Just be yourself, Alexa, and they’ll love it. If they don’t, then forget about them and look at this as practice.” She nodded her head toward Ava.
“I love you and I’m a phone call away. We all are,” Sally whispered, and she heard both Michael and Chad laughing along with Susanna. She could do this. After one last look around the room, she took a deep breath and headed toward the front entranceway.

“You take good care of my cousin now, ya hear,” Susanna warned Michael and Chad just as Alexa entered the room. Michael felt his belly clench and his eyes nearly pop out of his head. Alexa looked so beautiful and also scared. He had an overwhelming urge to take her into his arms and hug her to him. She was petite and sexy, and something in his gut told him this might be an entirely new experience for all of them.
“Hi, baby doll. You look beautiful,” Chad stated and she smiled.
“She sure does. Are you ready to go?” Michael asked. She straightened her shoulders, took a deep breath, and gave a small smile.
