Charlie slammed his fist down on the table as he looked at the pictures inside the envelope.
His stomach ached. He stared at Dante and Trevor who looked ready to kill.
“First the fucking phone calls and now this?” Trevor stated.
“This is fucking crazy. Who is doing this? They’re going to hurt her. They’re making their threats known,” Dante stated.
“I know that. Three fucking pictures. Lori at Carl’s, Lori playing with Ben on the swings,” Dante stated.
“Lori half fucking naked on the porch from the other night. Fuck, he was that close. So fucking close he could have taken pictures of her naked body and her sucking—”
Trevor ran his hands through his hair and growled.
“We need to think. We have to catch this shadow guy. He’s ballsy enough to come around here at night and to threaten us like this,” Charlie stated.
“What about Lori? Do we tell her about this?” Dante asked.
“No. She’s got enough on her plate right now. You heard her two nights ago when she was here. She’s stressed over registering for college, working and making money while going to school and taking the online courses. She doesn’t need this shit, too,” Charlie replied.
“She needs protection. If anything were to happen to her…” Trevor said.
“We should inform the sheriff,” Dante added.
“And show him these pictures? This one of Lori only wearing her black panties from behind? She’ll be mortified. Hell, you guys and I know that the sheriff likes her,” Charlie said.
“He knows she’s ours.” Trevor raised his voice and looked furious.
“Calm down. I know he does but still, it’s better if we just tell him. He doesn’t need to see this one. The others justify the threats.”
“Okay, let’s call him and I’m going to text Lori. She’s at work now.” Trevor pulled out his cell and texted her.
“Trevor, notify the men in the family and the ranch hands. Have them be on the lookout for any strangers walking around.”
“You bet, Charlie,” Dante said then headed out the door.

The bar was so crowded Lori couldn’t keep up with the orders. Carl was helping her because Sylvia was a no-show and they’d just reached Jenny twenty minutes ago. She was on her way to Carl’s to help out.
“I don’t understand this. It’s so unlike Sylvia,” Carl stated as he shook the metal mixer then poured the sex on the beach into the glass. He added a special fruit flower then served it up.
“Me either.” Lori hit the blender as she poured the mug of beer from the spout. Thank God she was ambidextrous and could make just about any drink out there. It was a warm night and the favorite was margaritas.
“I’m a bit worried. Jenny said she never came home Friday night.”
“Friday? She was working here with me. I left at closing and saw her car leaving the parking lot.”
“I called Sheriff Morgan. He’s looking around and asking other friends and Sylvia’s ex-boyfriend if he saw her. He said he’d stop in tonight.”
“God, I hope she’s okay.”
Just then Lori felt her cell phone buzz, but she was too busy to answer right now.
She continued to make drinks until it finally slowed down around eleven.
She was leaning against the bar. Now that Jenny was there to help, they’d caught up and were less busy.
Lori glanced at her phone. Five messages from Trevor?
