“Weird,” she murmurs.

“Night, Chey,” I whisper out as I nuzzle in close to her and feel her body relax into mine.

“Goodnight, Jase,”

I hold her tight, having the hardest time falling asleep knowing Debra must be out for blood for her to explode like that. Cheyenne may get in her crosshairs and I do not want that to happen. It’s my job to protect her, she’s mine now.

I wait until she’s completely relaxed and asleep before I allow myself to drift off.

I woke up this morning with my head resting over Jase’s heart, my leg hitched over his thigh and his hand holding my leg to him while his other one was wrapped firmly around my waist. It was the best feeling in the world, and I didn’t want to move from my place. Too bad a cell phone dancing around on the nightstand beside us was busy vibrating and ringing woke us up.

“Hello,” Jase grumbles into the phone. I go to move away from him, but he holds me closer. Not wanting me to leave. I still have butterflies in my stomach when I think about last night and the fact we both came together. It was the hottest thing ever and I can’t wait for it to happen again. Hopefully next time it’ll end with him inside me instead though.

“Yeah, Yeah. I’ll be there. Give me an hour,” he says as he tosses his phone back on the night stand and then I’m flat on my back and he’s hovering above me with his elbow on the bed beside my head. His hips are between mine and we’re both still naked.

“Morning,” Jase says right before his lips press down on mine and even though I want to shy away because hello, morning breath, I don’t hesitate. My lips meet his and my legs wrap around his waist and his cock glides along my pussy that’s already wet and ready.

When he pulls back, I tell him, “Good morning to you too.”

“As much as I hate to leave. I have to head into the shop. One of the boys is working overtime and the paint job is a nightmare for him to perfect,” he says as he continues to rock his hips back and forth along the folds of my center.

“I understand, let me get dressed and I’ll get out of your hair,”

“Not happening, stay here in bed just like this. I’ll be back in no time,” he commands.

“I’ll stay here, Jase, but I should really get things ready to move into the apartment at your shop,”

“Hold off on that. I have a bad feeling your mom is up to something and I want you safe and sound. My house isn’t that bad, is it?” he questions.

“Only if you’re sure. I can get caught up on work today while you’re out. And no, your house is perfect,” I say as I lean up to kiss him. His eyes travel along my body before they make their way back up to my face and then he meets me with a searing kiss.

We pull away and he heads off to the shower as I dig around and find the shirt he took off last night and pull it on. I make my way to the front of the house and into the kitchen. The only thing on my mind is coffee and getting Jase’s coffee ready to go. He’s always been a caffeine hound first thing in the morning. Even when he was working with my father for all those years. He always had a cup of coffee in his hand early in the mornings.

I find the coffee pot and search for the mugs, spoons, sugar, and creamer. Praying he has something to sweeten up my coffee.

I hear the shower turn off just as I’m pouring myself a cup and doctoring it up just how I like it, blonde and sweet. I hit the mother-load when I opened up Jase’s refrigerator. It was well and truly stocked. Once my coffee is ready, I pull out the bagels and eggs. If Jase has to go in to work, this will be fast and easy. I get the bagels toasted while I’m frying up a couple of eggs and adding a layer of cheese on top of the eggs in the frying pan when I feel Jase behind me. His arms wrap around me and I lean into him as he murmurs in my ear, “Thank you for breakfast. Things should go pretty smoothly and hopefully I’ll only be gone for a few hours.”

“Maybe we can go out for dinner tonight?” I question as I turn my head to the side and look over my shoulder.

“We can do that. I’ll text you when I’m on my way home,” he says and lets me go as I reach for the plates, but before I can get on my toes to reach them from the open shelving he has in his kitchen, he grabs them and is helping me plate our breakfast.
