“Downstairs in David’s loft, but up here had been cleared out for a while.”

“Oh right, the renovations.” I looked around taking in the laid brick and the one wall that still sported a painted mural from when the building had been something else. The colors were faded but the rest was clean.

“That was always plan but when I moved in I didn’t have the money and worked a lot so I left most of it undone. It really wasn’t until last year when Remington moved out with Evan and I had Hunter gut most of this.”

“But you left the mural.” I walked over to the wall and touched the brick and paint. We’d made out up here one time as kids. It was a happier memory.

Andy stood right behind me, his chest flush with my back. I kept my gaze on the wall as his hand covered mine and our fingers entwined knuckles scrapping gently over mortar. I liked the slightly abrasive feel. It grounded me and I leaned back into Andy. My rock.

The stove beeped and smells from the stove started to burn.

“Shit.” Andy growled racing back.

The door burst open and David ran in sporting a fire extinguisher and aimed it toward the stove and Andy.

“David!” I yelled running over but he’d already put the canister down. Andy wiped power off his chest and arm giving his brother a dirty look.

“My alarm went off and I smelled something up here.” David turned to give me a dirty look and I smirked back. Okay, no love loss there.

“What is going on? Is everyone alright?” David’s girlfriend Kiara joined us cupping her hand over her surprised face.

“No.”

“Yes.” Both Andy and David shouted at the same time.

“How about we put shoes on and go to the diner?”

“I love this suggestion.” I said taking in the brothers’ surly expressions.

Epilogue

ANDY

“I can’t believe I’m married to the Mayor. Does this mean I’m going to have to start clutching my pearls and start baking pies?” Sierra joked.

“Only if the pearls are the only thing you’re wearing and I get to eat the pie off you.”

“Kinky husband.”

“I’m not into the Stepford wife thing. Just so we’re clear.”

“Crystal.” She winked pulling me by my tie to the bed.

“So are you sure that Vegas is out of the question for a wedding?” Sierra chuckled and flipped through the magazine highlighting the flower trends for this Spring. I couldn’t wait to make her mine after all the hell we had been through. While my parents had been hesitant to believe that Sierra was back for good and doing well, they were open to knowing that I had my heart in the right place. I loved this girl and I wasn’t letting her go a second time.

Her eyebrow raised up humoring me. “Oh, I don’t know, did you want to take in the sights, maybe catch a card game?” Those things were farthest from my mind. Slowly peeling her clothes off to expose the ink she got while traveling the country during our separation and talking to her about every experience honestly. Now that did something for my libido nothing else could.

“The only game I’m playing is how fast I can undress my wife.”

“Oh, Mr. Easton I find you to be explicitly kinky right now.”

“Is that all you’re finding, my wife to be?”

“I don’t know, that’s an awfully long rod you’ve got there pointed at me.”

“Don’t you know, firefly, you’re the very best of me.” My hands reached for her face like I couldn’t hold on tight enough and I kissed her until our lips went numb and our hearts were full for the very first time.
