“You’re awfully presumptuous. Maybe I don’t want to do any of that kind of riding,” she pouts.
“Then you can watch me jack off. Either way, I’m getting my dick wet. Would think you’d want an orgasm or twenty while you’re staying with me, but if you can hold out and not come after the workout I put you through, then you’re made of iron. I’ll be damned impressed.”
“Do you have an answer for everything?” she asks.
The sun’s rising so I reach over and pull out a pair of sunnies for her. “Yeah, when it comes to you, I do.”
CHAPTER 10
CAM
This is not good.
The entire helicopter ride to the ranch I’d given myself a pep talk. I was actually a bit surprised when I’d agreed to go back to the ranch with Tucker. But before I could change my mind, he laid a kiss on me and told me he’d be sending a helicopter the next day so I should get my things in order. He was out the door before I could protest. Every time that man gets his mouth on me, I tend to lose all rational thought.
My plan had been to be a bit over the top. I do love the finer things in life. I grew up with a platinum spoon in my mouth. It wouldn’t be too far of a stretch for me to be a bit excessive. Surely that would send down-to-earth cowboy Tuck running for the hills. It’s really the last thing I can think to do to push the man away because clearly I’m not good at running from him because here I am.
“I could wait at the main house until the rest of my things come,” I suggest as we pull farther away from everyone else.
We’re going to be utterly alone. He really is going to get me knocked up at this rate. His crude words are already heating my body. No one has ever spoken to me the way he just did. I should smack him. But I find that’s the last thing I want to do. Now all I’m thinking about is him jacking off and watching him do it. Why is that so hot?
“Told you. I don’t stay at the main house. You stay where I stay.” I’d roll my eyes at him, but they’re covered with the cute Dior sunglasses he gave me. I love that he thought ahead.
“I can’t live without all my things.” I try again. I definitely could, but I’m not going to make this any easier for him.
The first few bags I packed were real. They were things I might actually need while I’m here. But all the rest of it was done as a part of my plan to remind Tucker that we live two very different lives. I enjoy a bit of over-the-topness. I could never survive out in the middle of nowhere. At least, that’s what I want him to think.
Some of the best days of my life were when my parents took me out to the Pine Oak Ranch. We always spent a month out there every summer. I enjoyed those times immensely because they always fought less when we were there. I think part of it was because my father really pulled back from work when we went out there. It was only the three of us. The city and everything else that came with this life faded away during those weeks.
“You want a baby. You don’t need anything but me to make that happen.” He smirks, his eyes roaming over my body. It heats the way it always does when he’s near.
“Eyes in front of you.” I turn to hide my flushing cheeks. Damn do I love Tuck checking me out. Never in all my life have I seen him look at another woman, but here he is eating me up. I have to admit it feels good to have his attention on me, but I’m still confused at the sudden change.
“I think you’ll like it out here more than you think.” That’s what I’m afraid of.
I know I will. There’s no doubt about that. I’ve always wanted to come out here and stay. When I was here for Birdie’s fashion event, I’d so badly wanted to get a better look around.
“Tucker,” I say when I see a beautiful house in the distance. It’s a traditional two-story house with a wraparound porch on both floors. It is breathtaking. Even from this distance, I can tell it has rustic touches while still being updated and modern. No wonder he never wants to leave this place. If I lived in that house, neither would I.
“Did you think I was taking you to some shed?”
“I don’t know what I thought, honestly,” I admit. I’m out of the cart the moment it stops and up the stairs. “I love these chairs.” Two wide wooden rockers sit off to the side.
