“I don’t know. Some back paper legal shit we never did right,” I suggested.
“Perhaps. But I don’t want to push a bunch of papers at her,” Maverick counter-argued.
I pinched the bridge of my nose and rubbed my tired eyes. Henley may have made me feel alive again, but I was still exhausted. “Well fuck, we don’t have to decide now,” I said. “Don’t give me a headache.”
Maverick chuckled and I looked back at Henley. She was still asleep, snoring.
I smirked and got up, retrieving my boxers and shucking them on.
Maverick got up and went to the bathroom, and by the time he returned, I’d gone to the kitchen to start a pot of coffee. I always started the day with a black cup to wake me up, followed by a creamy sugary one.
I decided to make some eggs and bacon for Henley, presuming she’d wake up hungry.
I sat down with my coffee and watched the news on the kitchen television as the bacon thawed. I couldn’t help thinking back to what Maverick had said about Henley’s hesitation, afraid she would wake up and change her mind. Afraid this was too much for her. Too intense.
“What are you doing in here?” Maverick asked, entering the kitchen and interrupting my thoughts.
I looked at his bare chest as he moved around the kitchen and stole my coffee. “What does it look like?” I snapped.
He grinned and took a sip. “Never thought I would see you cooking. You trying to compete with me?”
I gave him a funny look. “Hell no, but do you want some?” I asked, knowing bacon was his favorite.
We both knew it was never about that. If we entered an agreement together, that’s how it would stay. We didn’t try to get one up on the other and we didn’t compete against each other. No woman had ever came between us, and never would, not even Henley. She certainly had the potential to ruin friendships, but not ours. Maverick and I had been tight for too long to let that happen.
Besides, it was better together. The push-and-pull of a two-person relationship was boring to us. We enjoyed the challenge of that second proponent. The dynamic we fought to control.
Maverick nudged my shoulder and moved aside.
I started up a hot skillet and cracked some eggs. “She still asleep?” I asked.
“Yeah. We wore her out.” He sat on the countertop and made some more coffee as I got another for myself, with sugar and cream this time.
I shrugged. “Well, it’s not like we have anything to do.”
I hoped the smells pulling through the kitchen would wake her up soon. I wanted to see her, desperate for her presence.
I couldn’t have been more grateful for spotting her profile and getting her into my office that fateful day.

Henley
My body was a thrumming wave. I felt it rising and lowering over and over as my eyes stayed closed and I remained still in bed. I started to remember things in fragments as if I were drunk the night before. But I knew I wasn’t.
Or maybe I was drunk on desire instead. The way they touched me, the things they did to me. The words they said to me… it still played like a broken record in my head but I liked it. God, I liked the way they made me feel. Everything all at once, my body a never-ending thrum of desire and pleasure. I didn’t even recognize myself anymore. I didn’t recognize the incessant, dirty throbbing between my legs and the pangs of my nipples. I could still feel the places they sucked my skin and marked me—I felt it embedding itself in my skin even still.
I didn’t understand it at all. I didn’t get how I could even be capable of these things and these feelings. I enjoyed them… but I didn’t know what to do with them or where they would go.
Maverick was attentive and full of intrigue. His body a perfect sculpture of muscle and power. With my eyes closed I could still imagine him pounding into me. And Jude… his kisses were so tender they were like pillows but his words so dirty they only belonged in the bedroom. I loved every minute of their onslaught against me and I didn’t know how much better it could get.
Not until I opened my eyes and settled in my surroundings. Their scent was still here. Their masculine musk and power. I only faintly remembered being cleansed by them in the shower, their hands all over me. Somehow we were kept at bay and I think it was because we were so tired. But we did fall into the bed eventually and I slept between them.
Whoa. Sleeping between two men. I sat up in the sheets, clutching the soft blue material to my chest in a sort of shock. I knew I slept between them and I remembered their arms around me, but it still seemed like a dream. It seemed like it didn’t even happen at all. But I knew it did. Because I could still feel them on me. I still felt my pussy throbbing trying to figure out which cock to stretch and adjust to...
I felt groggy even still, and moved to wash myself up. I looked for my clothes but they were nowhere to be found. I wondered where they had gone but I found the button up Maverick wore as I went to the bathroom. I washed my face and took in the luxury of everything—even the toilet was nice. The bathroom had that sleek, modern design. The si
nk was so deep I wondered if it ever bottomed out. I found one, unopened electronic toothbrush and used that before I met my face in the mirror. It wasn’t as bad as I expected but my red hair was in a wild disarray. I could be mistaken for a certain Disney character. I tried to tame it with some water and teasing but it was no use. I let the wild waves fly as I bravely sought out Maverick and Jude.
