“You did?” he asked.
Jerry liked to talk constantly about his conquests.
Most of the time, Damon was able to avoid him, but today, he’d decided to stick close to the clubhouse. It was nearing lunchtime and there was only one place he wanted to be.
Something was up with Teri, he knew it, he saw the way she changed around everyone. It was an instinct within him to take care of her.
From the first day he met Teri, all those years ago, he’d known she was special. There was more to her than the carefree, sex-hungry girl she claimed to be. Something lurked inside her, and if Dane was right, then deep down, he and Teri wanted the same things.
“Fuck, yeah. She is such a dirty little slut. She took it and I made her drink all of me, and damn, she did. She swallowed every last drop. Even before I was finished with her, I was hungry again for some more. Next time though, I took her ass. She didn’t even need lube, her pussy was so soaking wet.”
Jerry grabbed his crotch. “I want her again.”
Damon rolled his eyes and saw it was a little after twelve. When it came to Teri, he didn’t want to appear too desperate. He closed his laptop and shut the books.
“Do you want to double team her?” Jerry asked. “She’d go for it.”
“Not right now.” He got to his feet. “I’ve got places to be.”
“When did you stop being so fun?”
“Around the time all you wanted was fun.” Damon grabbed the laptop and books and headed into James’s office.
Their prez was hunched over his desk, looking at something.
“Are you okay?” Damon asked.
James closed whatever file he was reading. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
“How is Maisie?” Cora and James had a little girl a couple of years ago. Damon adored babies, but they didn’t always bring them around to the clubhouse. Not that he could blame them with some of the shit that went on.
They did not need to see anything of what Jerry described, baby, toddler, or not.
“She’s fine. Growing up so fast. I can’t believe she’s already toddling around. It’s not fair. I want to slow time down, you know.”
Damon laughed. “It won’t be long before you’re threatening boyfriends.”
James groaned. “Don’t. Just don’t. I can’t handle that shit right now.” He ran a hand down his face. “Can I ask you something?”
“Sure.” Damon took a seat.
“How do you think things are going with Dane?”
The club brother hadn’t been kicked out of the club completely, but he also hadn’t been welcomed back with open arms. He was on a trial basis, working as a prospect. This had nothing to do with his personal business. The club was a tight family, but they all respected the boundaries of personal versus club life. The problem with Dane was he upped and left the club without a note. Without an explanation why. No one was able to find him, and James had put in a lot of time and effort.
Damon shrugged. “He seems to be handling everything. Don’t you think?”
James sighed. “I don’t know. I feel like he’s going to get up and leave again. I don’t know if I can trust him.”
“Did he ever say where he was?” Damon asked.
“Nope. Always vague answers, you know? I don’t know.”
Since Dane had come back, there wasn’t any reason to get rid of him. He did everything a prospect would do, only he did it better as he knew how the whole club worked. Damon still liked him, regardless of the pain he caused Teri.
“You’ve got to think about Ryan,” Damon said.
Ryan was Damon and Lucy’s oldest son, and the boy had spiraled down a bad path. In the end, it was decided for Ryan to live with Dane to help their bond and to also bring him back into line.
Ryan had been doing fine before Dane’s return. The moment his dad turned up, shit had started to go south and he kept acting up. It all led to the decision that Ryan should live with his father for a time, for him to get to know the man.
“Yeah, you’re right.” James blew out a breath. “You good?”
“Heading to the diner.”
“When are you going to tell Teri you’re in love with her?”
Damon stared at his prez without saying a word.
No one knew of his feelings, least of all Teri. There was a time he thought she might know, but if she did, she never let on to knowing his feelings.
“Do you want me to bring you anything back?” Damon asked.
“When are you going to accept that you’re in love with her?” James leaned forward.
He got to his feet and shrugged. “It’s not going to happen.”
“You don’t know that.”
Damon looked at his prez. “You know she’s hurting, don’t you? This shit with Lucy and Dane. She’s still living with it.”
