Tristen’s fingers went between my ass cheeks. I froze as the tip of his finger gently touched my asshole. I had that moment of fear, the moment where you thought you were safe but then realized that maybe you were deluded in thinking it. It was probably completely irrational to be frightened, but there I was for the first time, hesitant on what I was doing.

A cold chill brushed against my skin. I no longer could feel Tristen’s touch anywhere near me. I was about to turn, when Tristen lifted me and cradled me to him.

“Are you okay?” he asked, his voice no longer authoritative. “Sweetheart, you're shaking.”

Tristen’s strong hands started soothing my hair as he brushed his lips against my temple. “Please say something, Sonia. I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have done that. I thought you were into it, the way you were reacting to the spanking. I was just teasing. I promise I would never have done anything you didn’t want or were uncomfortable with. Baby, please say something. I’m begging you.”

I wasn’t sure what shocked me more, that Tristen Watt was so sweet, so caring, or the fact that he was sweet and caring toward me. I knew he was attracted to me, but the way he held me, so close to his chest, his tight embrace a shield, sheltering me from anything that could possibly harm me, made me feel like I was the most precious thing in the entire world. “I’m okay."

Tristen peppered kisses on my face. His lips trailed from my forehead, to my ear, my jaw line, the hollow of my neck. The kisses were soft, but they felt desperate. They were kisses of longing and passion. They were the kisses you’d see in Hollywood romance films, the ones that made you daydream about a man loving you so much that his kisses would paint a portrait on your skin. That’s what it was. Tristen was opening his heart to me with many kisses. “I’m such a fuckin’ asshole.”

I pushed Tisten gently as I glanced up to his face. His eyes appeared to be distant, not the normal ice blue that seemed to burn, more like a calm in the middle of the ocean. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”

“I scared you. I never want to scare you. I want you to know that when you’re with me, you’re completely safe. I know I’m an asshole, Sonia. I know I have a tendency to scare people, and I like that about myself. When people are scared of you, they keep their distance. They don’t fuck with you. But with you…”

“What about me?”

“With you, I’d rather die than have you scared of me for even one moment. I want you to know that. I need you to know that I’d rather die than ever have you scared of me. I’ll never hurt you, Sonia. Never.” Tristen placed both his hands on my face, his eyes burning into mine. “I need you to know that.”

“I’m not scared of you, Tristen. I’ve never been scared of you.”

“But just now, how you reacted..”

“I want to please you. It actually turns me on to please you. I get off on it. When you’re a little rough or say dirty things, it makes me wet. I liked all of it. I think I’m a little unsure about some things, but maybe with time it'll be different.”

Tristen laughed. It sounded like relief. “Baby, I know we aren’t ready for that. I promise I won’t push you past anything you aren’t ready for. I want to learn your body and become the master of your desires.”

“You really don’t have much work to do.”

Tristen smirked, taking my earlobe between his teeth, tugging gently. “I’ve got a feeling that you’ll always be a little work, sweetheart, but I’m happy to work hard in pleasing you.” Tristen got up with me still cradled to his chest. I felt so small being held like that with him. I sighed into his chest, letting it all soak in. He walked straight to my bathroom and gently placed me on the bench.

“What are you doin’?”

Tristen turned on the tap at the bathtub, testing the water. “I’m running you a bath.”

“I got that part. You gonna get in there with me?”

“That was the plan. Do you have any bubble bath?”

I handed Tristen a bottle from under the sink before I sat back down on the bench and watched this handsome, big, brooding man frown in concentration in order to make sure I had the perfect water-bubble ratio. That was the moment that I knew as rough or demanding as Tristen was, he was also kind, considerate, and thoughtful.

Tristen turned toward me, offering his hand to me. “It’s ready, beautiful.” Tristen held my hand as I got into the tub, following behind me. My back to his chest, I sighed as his arms firmly held me to him.
