I burst into laughter. “Why would I be mad? I get to marry the love of my life and be a princess. This is every little girl’s dream come true. I’m a little overwhelmed, but I’m not mad.”
William kissed me, slow and true. “Everything’s going to be alright. I’ll be by your side every step of the way. Now, do you want to meet the rest of my family? They’re all very excited to meet you.”
“Everybody’s here?” I whispered. “Including the Queen?”
William winked. “She always arrives fashionably late. But yes, she’ll be here.”
A swell of excitement set me abuzz from head to toe. I was excited to embark on this brand-new adventure, William holding my hand every step of the way.
