“You are one to tease. As you have neither fainted nor cast a single spell since we first mated.”

I paused because he was right. I was no longer wired or hearing or seeing anything but him. Grinning like mad, I brought his lips to mine, kissing him. With one hand, he grabbed and pinned my wrist above me, cupping my breast with the other, and I moaned as he squeezed. Biting his lip, I drew blood before flipping us over on the bed and climbing on top of him, then grabbed his length beneath me.

“Druella…” His voice faded, his gray eyes never leaving mine as I lowered myself on top of him slowly until I could feel all of him in me. He grabbed my waist. It was as if fireworks were set off inside me. I felt like I was on fire in the best sort of ways. Why had I fought this?

“By the gods, you are beautiful,” he whispered. Unable to stop himself, he sat up, bringing my body to his. My hair fell over my shoulder as I looked down on him and wrapped my arms around his neck. My mouth parted, as did his, as we watched each other while our bodies rocked and we breathed in the scent of each other.

“Together,” he demanded, holding me tighter. “Druella…”

“Theseus!” I cried out. I dug my nails into him, trembling as once again he bit me, and I melted into his arms. He caught me, laying me beside him and stroking my face. Reaching up, I wiped the corner of his mouth as he watched me happily.

“I am glad we have eternity, for there is so much to show you,” he said, kissing over my breast where my heart should have been beating.

“Like what?” I asked, running my finger over his jaw.

“My home.”

“Isn’t this home?” I questioned.

He nodded and kissed my fingers. “Our family home, the Thorbørn family home. But I have other homes throughout the world. My favorite, the one I consider mine—ours—is in Athens. It is not so large but overlooks the sea. When I was younger, before I slept, I would paint the sun as it rose over the waters and then the sun as it set over the same waters.”

“Are you asking me to go so we can paint sunrises and sunsets together?”

“Yes.” He smiled. “And in between, I shall have you over and over again until your moans are as constant as the waves.”

“I’d like that,” I muttered as my lips brushed across his gently. “I’d like that a lot.”

“Good,” he replied and kissed me, his tongue entering my mouth.

Bang.

Bang.

Bang.

“Oh, little brother!”

The sound of Ulrik’s voice echoing from behind the door as he slammed his fist against the frame was more infuriating than it had ever been. I felt myself wanting to claw his eyes out, and a soft growl left my throat. However, it paled in comparison to the sound that came out of Theseus. He loudly sneered as he lifted his lips from mine, his eyes no longer on me but glaring at the door in a true murderous rage, so angry that his grip on me tightened. I still knew little of vampire custom, but what I did know was it was never, ever, ever a good idea to interrupt vampires as they mated.

“Before you two break down the door to kill me, know that I was sent by Father—”

“Father sent Pelopia. You volunteered and came on your own.” Melora’s voice met my ears.

“Pelopia…me. It doesn’t matter—”

“What. Is. It?” Theseus hissed out dangerously low. His jaw clenched as he held back from saying anything else.

“It’s been two days, brother. Are you not satisfied yet?” Ulrik laughed. “How many times do you need to bite—”

In a flash, Theseus was off me, and the doors burst open. I grabbed the sheet and quickly tied it around my

self. When I turned, I saw Theseus now held his brother by the throat, not that Ulrik seemed to care. He just grinned as Melora stood arms crossed, shaking her head at the scene, though she seemed amused, not at all trying to stop either of them. Right behind her was Pelopia, holding a deep-red silk dress and heels in her hands, waiting emotionless.

“You are a nuisance, Ulrik,” Theseus sneered.

“That hurts my feelings, brother,” Ulrik said back, pouting. “I came out of the kindness of my heart to tell you and your mate that you are to get dressed. Remember, Father called for there to be a welcoming of her, which is tonight. We’re so enthralled. Did you notice?” He grinned and leaned over despite Theseus’s hand around his neck, grinning as his eyes met mine. “Hello, sister. No longer in name only, I see. You gave in very quickly. No longer saying nonsense about intending—Ah. Theseus, ease up a bit. One would think you are trying to hurt me.”

“I think he is trying to hurt you,” I said, finally speaking up as I stood at the door, wishing I had more than a sheet to cover myself. But seeing as Theseus was completely naked and none of them seemed to notice or mind, I pushed the thought out of my head.
