Chapter Seven

Two weeks later

Emma stood outside of Landon’s room, a tray of food in her arms and nerves unlike anything she’d felt. The past two weeks had been … crazy.

Well, not really crazy, but her life had taken a turn someway down the road.

She stared at the wooden door as she thought about Gideon.

When her brothers were not home, they went back to her apartment and he found some way of making her come.

Each time his hands were on her, she found it hard to think.

Not once did he push for more.

He made her go naked. It was always his first request. At first, she’d been nervous. She’d never been naked in front of anyone.

Gideon, though, he watched her. His gaze always on her made her wetter. Whenever she was alone at the office, he’d call her, and after she locked her door, he’d make her sit at her desk, legs on top of it, leaning back in her chair and teasing her pussy.

He’d make her come over the phone so he could hear every breathy moment, and then he’d hang up, and not say a word of what happened.

Throughout her orgasms, he never asked her for anything, even as she felt how hard he was. Each time he brought her to orgasm or he played with her body, she expected him to ask for something in return.

His erection was always obvious as it pressed against the front of his pants, and still, he didn’t ask. He didn’t even give a hint that he wanted a climax.

She wanted to give him one.

To hear him come.

To have him crying out her name as he released.

Shaking those thoughts from her mind, she entered Landon’s room. The television played to him, and he sat against the head wall.

He’d shattered the bed and tried to impale himself on one of the wooden slats.

In the process of knocking him out, they had removed everything from his room, put chains in the wall, and he only had a mattress that they checked over daily.

She hated seeing him like this. His gaze was dead inside. The charming young man she once saw was long gone.

“Hey, Landon,” she said.

“If you’re here to cheer me up, fuck off.”

She entered the room and heard the moaning, the whimpering, and as she stood near the television, she saw someone had put porn on.

“Do you want to watch this?”

“Why not? It’s boring as fuck.” He snorted. “It’s not like I’m getting hard or anything. Maybe fucking a chick would have once got me hard, but that was before … her. That’s not going to happen now. It doesn’t matter how many times I watch a woman take a cock, or swallow cum, or take it up the ass. I’ve got nothing.”

She grabbed the chair and sat down. “I don’t like seeing you like this.”

Landon stared at her. “You think I’m going to change because you give a shit.”

“No, of course not. I’m sorry. I just … I don’t know what to say to you. You lost someone you love, and to top that, you’ve not even been allowed to go and say goodbye.”

She saw the tears in his eyes.

“Thank you,” he said.
