Gian fucking DelGado.

“What the fuck are you doing with my sister?” he snarls, the spittle from his words landing on my face.

“Gian,” she cries. I can see her kicking and screaming while someone else, her other brother I think, holds her back. There’s two men holding me down, keeping me from her, and I’m guessing at least one other here.

They brought a fucking army to get her back.

“Gian, please.” She cries again, and the sound breaks my heart.

I keep my mouth shut, nothing I say will appease this monster. I’ve heard stories about Gian DelGado, he’s a coldhearted killer in an expensive suit.

Gemma’s the odd one out in her family, the rest aren’t like her I think. They’re all fucking monsters surrounding her. Men who build themselves up by keeping her down.

She’s a rose in a field full of thorns. The purest thing to be a part of that family.

“Answer me.” Gian growls, and the lackey holding me kicks me again.

“I’m not doing anything.” I respond. “She wants to be here, you fucking ass.”

This makes Gian chuckle, he’s angry, but he’s keeping his composure.

The worst fucking men are the ones who don’t sweat.

It’s the ones that are cold and calculated you need to watch out for. They are the most volatile.

Gian stands and stalks away from me. He slips his hands into the pockets of his pants and stands casually, as if this is an everyday scenario for him.

His eyes linger around the hotel room, taking in the sights. It’s a little messy and there's a pair of panties laying out on the dresser and a bra on the floor. Any idiot would know what was going on in here.

Gemma’s sobbing now in the arms of another mafia soldier. “What do you want to do with him?” he asks, glancing at me and then back at Gian.

“I’m gonna kill him.” Gian says calmly. “Throw him in the truck and take him to the warehouse.”

“No!” Gemma screams. “Please, Gian, stop.”

No one listens to her as they haul me up, binding my hands together with zip ties. If they get me out of this room, they’ll kill me. I need to get out of here before this escalates.

“Please,” she says again. There are streams of tears falling from her pink cheeks. “Let’s leave. Let’s just leave. Take me home. I promise I will never talk to him again, just please,” she chokes on a sob. “Please don’t kill him.”

Gian waves a hand, stopping the men holding me from dragging me out of the room. He considers her words, tossing me a glance over his shoulder. “This is a fucking war, Gemma.” His eyes drill into hers.

She hiccups a sob and another beg leaves her lips.

Anger rises in my chest watching her beg him. She’s begging him for my life and I’m still pissed off. I’m the only person that mouth should ever be begging anything for.

Gemma is a fucking queen, she should

n’t kneel to anyone.

And yet, tears drip from her face as she begs her brother to spare me.

“Fine.” Gian finally says. “Get your stuff, Gemma, we’re taking you home.”

The soldier releases her, and she stumbles out of his grip. She comes to me first, before she grabs anything. She kneels in front of me, planting a sweet kiss to my forehead and whispering she’s sorry. She grabs a pair of leggings off the floor, sliding them up her legs and over her hips. Then she grabs her loose items, tossing them in her bag and exits the hotel room with her head held high.

Gian leans in close one last time, “Don’t ever fucking touch her again.”

The DelGados leave the hotel room, leaving me with their henchmen.
