He closed his eyes, trying to distance himself from what was happening and failing. Surprisingly, Rutledge was a pretty good kisser. He wasn’t sloppy, and the kiss wasn’t gross, but it was strange. It was strange to be the one being kissed, not the other way around. He was being kissed by a man, not a girl. The difference shouldn’t have been so obvious, but it was. Rutledge kissed the same way he acted: bossy, demanding and hard.
A few minutes later, Rutledge was finally done kissing him, and Shawn’s lips were swollen and sensitive. He felt kind of overwhelmed and more than a little weirded out.
Rutledge took one look at him, snorted and pushed him off his lap. Shawn got to his feet unsteadily and turned to leave.
“You didn’t collect your payment, Wyatt.”
Payment. Right.
Shawn turned back and didn’t look at him as Rutledge put money into his pocket.
“Now get out,” Rutledge said. “I have papers to grade.”
Shawn was only all too happy to obey.
Once he was outside the office, he touched his sore lips.
They were tingling.
Chapter 6
Turned out, kissing wasn’t just a one-time thing. Rutledge seemed to think that now that he’d done it once, he had the right to shove his tongue into Shawn’s mouth whenever he wanted—and he seemed to want it very often.
As a result, Shawn had been spending an awful lot of time in Rutledge’s lap, with Rutledge’s tongue in his mouth and Rutledge’s hands on his ass. The latter made him a bit uneasy, but Rutledge didn’t seem to want anything else. Shawn figured the guy just couldn’t help it, so he didn’t make a fuss about it.
Usually, after about ten minutes of hard kissing, Rutledge ordered him to suck him off, but today he was taking his time, kissing him over and over, deep and absolutely filthy, until Shawn could barely breathe. The familiar feeling of being completely overwhelmed was back, and Shawn found himself gasping and making small noises—he wasn’t even sure why. It was just too much. He wasn’t sure whether he liked this feeling—the feeling of being completely overwhelmed—or hated it.
At last, Rutledge broke the kiss, but instead of simply ordering him to suck him off, as he usually did, he started kissing down Shawn’s neck.
“Er, I’m pretty sure this wasn’t part of the deal,” Shawn said.
Rutledge ignored him, of course.
Shawn rolled his eyes. Since the whole thing started, he’d discovered that Rutledge actually kept himself in check in class and did not demonstrate the extent of his…personality. When they were alone, Rutledge didn’t hold back: he was completely domineering. Everything had to be done the way Rutledge wanted.
Shawn was torn away from his thoughts when he felt Rutledge’s large hands slide under his shirt to stroke his bare back.
“You’re kinda crossing the line, man,” Shawn murmured, though if he was honest with himself, he wasn’t that bothered by Rutledge’s coping a feel. He wondered whether he should be.
It wasn’t the first time it had occurred to Shawn that he was nowhere near as freaked out by the whole thing as he probably should have been. But then again, he had the guy’s dick in his mouth every day. This was nothing.
Rutledge continued to nibble at his neck aggressively. “Pull me out and jerk me off.”
Before Shawn could do it, Rutledge’s cell phone started vibrating on the desk.
Swearing through his teeth, Rutledge lifted his head from Shawn’s neck and reached out for his phone.
“Yes?” he snapped without looking at the caller ID.
Shawn watched with interest as Rutledge’s face turned into a stony mask. He obviously didn’t like whatever the caller was saying to him, because his voice turned hard. “I’m not interested, Vivian.” A pause. “I don’t give a damn about what he wants. Save your breath. I’m not coming.”
His curiosity piqued, Shawn leaned closer to the phone, trying to catch what she was saying.
“…father is very ill, Derek,” the woman—Vivian—said. “I swear I’m not lying. He would never admit it, but I know he wants to see you before—before… Please. For me.”
Rutledge’s jaw tightened. “I’m not going to do what he wants me to do. I’m not marrying that silly little girl.”
“Amanda is a nice young woman,” Vivian said. “Yes, her dad is our father’s friend, but she’s not her dad. She’s kind and—”
“Vivian,” Rutledge cut her off, glaring at his desk. “You’re forgetting something. I’m not into women. And even if I were, I would have never married the woman he chose for me.”
Vivian sighed. “Just come home this weekend. That’s the only thing I’m asking.”
Rutledge pinched the bridge of his nose. “Fine,” he bit out. He hung up rudely and dropped the phone onto his desk.
“Your sister?” Shawn said. Figuring Rutledge wasn’t in the mood for sex anymore, he was about to slide off his lap when Rutledge grabbed him and yanked him into a kiss.
