He didn’t let me speak again. Either he kept my mouth busy with his or he had me too focused on the tension he’d filled me with. It grew enormous in less than a minute when his hand settled over my clit, stirring there while he rammed me.

We made the desk rock. Its steady thump against the wall left no doubt what was happening in this room. Oh, and I was screaming, too, probably something about his cock. I lost control on that desktop, my legs quaking as he made me come harder than I thought I ever had. It melted my brain when he came, right after me, one hand squeezing my hip so hard I was going to have a bruise there.

Totally worth it.

Pleasure detonated inside as he jerked and seized, the muscles beneath my hands straining. His head fell forward, dropping onto my heaving chest while we struggled to find air.

Sex with Dominic was like . . . it wasn’t like anything I could compare it to. Maybe spending your whole life driving a Volvo and suddenly finding yourself behind the wheel of a Lamborghini. I couldn’t wait to take him for another drive.

The heavy, sweaty head on me rose away and he trapped my face in his hands. “You’re unbelievable, you know that?”

The kiss he gave me was tender and disorienting. My melted brain couldn’t render a response, so I sat on the desk, the edge digging into my thighs, and let him have complete control.

He made a noise of dissatisfaction as he withdrew from me and helped me off the desktop, my bare skin squealing on the veneer. “We’ve got a lot of shit to do before we can do that again.”

What? Holy crap, he’d actually fucked my brains out. “Hmm?”

“Japan? Packing. Airplane tickets.”

“Oh, yeah.”

He stared at me, confused. A slow smile widened on his face. “You okay?”

“It’s been a helluva day.”

I let him guide me into the bathroom where he started the shower. “No kidding.” He righted himself and turned his full attention on me. I could feel the subtle caress of his gaze as it wandered over me. “Not going to lie, I really like how it turned out.”

We stunned the future Mrs. Logan Stone into silence when Dominic floated our plans past Evie and Logan at dinner. We were seated at a booth in a cozy Italian restaurant, and it was a noisy Saturday night. Had she not heard over the dull roar coming from the bar area nearby? Or did she think this was the craziest idea she’d ever heard?

If honest, yeah, this was crazy. After the shower, reality began to set in, and then it really took hold as Dominic rode in my Jag back to my place. He sat in my living room and spent the next two hours on his iPad upgrading his ticket to business class so we could sit beside each other on the flight.

I’d been fired. And I was going to Tokyo.

I kept repeating the words to myself as I packed. I was excited. And terrified.

“I need your passport.” His gritty voice came through my bedroom doorway.

I delivered it to him. “No comments about the photo.”

A smile teased his lips as he flipped it open and took in my ridiculous hair from five years ago. Then, his smile froze.

“You’re only twenty five?” He scrubbed a hand over his face.

“Yeah, you dirty old man. Don’t worry, I’ll be careful with you. Don’t want you to break a hip or anything.”

He gave me a playfully annoyed look and went back to entering in the info.

I spent the remainder of the short afternoon handling administrative issues, like paying my rent, arranging for my Jag to stay in the parking garage, and then I purchased a replacement iPhone. Thank god all my contacts were backed up. I texted Evie, and that brought us to the cozy Italian restaurant.

“Wow,” was all Logan could get out, his gaze drifting from Dominic to me. The longer he considered it, though, the more he seemed to like the idea. A pleasant smile filled his face. “That’s going to be interesting.”

“Yeah,” Dominic said.

“It’s just two weeks.” I tore off a piece of garlic bread and set it on my plate, ignoring Evie’s wide stare from across the table.

“Is he paying for it?” she asked quietly.

I smirked. “Just the trip.”
