I turned and walked to the bus door.
“What about my bubbly water?” she asked.
“Fart in a glass of water for all I care.” I walked down the steps of his bus with as much pride as a stupid girl could.
A crack of thunder sounded and a bolt of lightening split the dark sky. I rushed toward the crew bus but stopped dead still when I heard the moans and groans of the groupies taking their pleasure from the band. With nowhere to go, I found a tree with a nice canopy off to the side and slid to the ground below it. Raindrops began to fall. First around me and then on top of me as the leaves gave into the rain.
I glanced at the bus to see Abel race inside. I couldn’t look as the door closed behind him. So I closed my eyes.
Chapter Eight
Abel
Fucking Candace. I knew that girl was trouble the first time I met her. How she got the code to get in I had no idea, but it probably wasn’t hard to figure out being it was the date of Deb’s death.
When the first words out of her mouth were “I want your baby," my dick shrank and shriveled. It had been hard most of the concert knowing that Gia and I were finally going to act on our attraction.
“What the fuck are you doing here?”
She jumped up. The action would have made most women’s tits bounce but not hers. Fake ones never really moved. They were like stationary un-fun bags.
“I’m here for you.”
“Where’s Gia?” I looked around even though I knew she wouldn’t be here.
“Is that your helper? She’s quite rude.” Candace laid her hands on my chest and ran them down to my soft dick. “I sent her away.”
I stepped back. “You what? You have no right to send her away. She’s mine.”
Candace’s filled lips tried to pucker but couldn’t. “That mousy girl is what you want?”
I picked up her dress, which was no bigger than a tube top and tossed it at her. “Get dressed and get out, or I’ll have you arrested for trespassing.” I turned and exited the bus. As I passed security, I told them there was a problem on my bus and they had five minutes to get rid of it.
Next, I bounded onto the crew bus only to find a lot of fucking but no Gia. It’s when I walked back into the rain I saw her. She was huddled into a tight ball leaning against the tree. Her shoulders were shaking from being soaked through and through.
I raced to her and fell to my knees beside her. “Gia, why are you here? I told you to go to the bus.”
She looked up at me with sad eyes and near blue lips. “I went to the bus, but it was occupied.”
I scooped her into my arms. “That girl wasn’t invited. You were. She had no right to be there. You did.”
She leaned her head into my chest and breathed deeply. “I’m not a groupie. I don’t know how this is going to work with us. I don’t know my place.” She sucked in an unsteady breath.
“Your place is beside me. Let’s get you inside and dry.”
She felt feather light in my arms. I marched through the rain and up the steps to find that security had done their job and Candace was gone.
“She said you gave her the code, and that she was your fan club president and didn’t get there by writing.”
Gia shook in my arms.
“The code was Deb’s death. Not too hard to figure out. I’ve never slept with her. She’s not my type.”
“Brunette and beautiful isn’t your type?”
I brushed the wet hair stuck to her face aside. “No, you’re my type. Real is my type.”
“I thought—”
