“Does your boss know you’re a little far from home?” Smokey asked.

The other guy held his hands flat out. He wasn’t shaking though, and Ugly Beast wasn’t fooled.

Nodding to Kinky to grab the chairs, they had them tied to them in the next second, secured.

Both men had been roughed up a bit. Neither spoke a word.

“You think they’d talk if I fucked their ass?” Kinky asked. “I could go in his ass, and make him suck it right off.”

Ugly Beast didn’t say a word. It wasn’t his place, not yet. This was Smokey’s call. The rest of the guys, they could play around and do whatever the fuck they wanted to do. He thought about Abriana. He’d left her at home today. It was the first time in the past week he had, apart from when they were first married.

He didn’t want to leave her, and he’d been working to try to help her to fit into his world.

She wasn’t wrong about her father. They hadn’t picked her because of her being part of their world.

With her bland looks, she wasn’t any use to Vigo. No deals would be made because of her beauty. She was a pawn in their world, and she’d been placed here. From the beatings she took, he knew her father wasn’t above hurting her.

Ugly Beast just needed for Abriana to show her loyalty to the club. He would kill her if she ever tried to betray them. No doubt about it.

“Who sent you?” Smokey asked.

Silence.

“You can’t talk?”

Silence.

They wouldn’t talk.

Smokey looked toward him, and he raised a brow. All his president had to do was say the word. Smokey walked toward him.

“What are your thoughts?” he asked. “I’ve got mine, but I want to know yours.”

Ugly Beast smiled. “I think these boys have been sent to us as a test to see how we’d respond. Garofalo hasn’t contacted you, has he?”

“No.”

“Then I say we step it up and find out what the fuck has these two ugly fucks here.”

“You want to do the honors?”

“Love to.” He winked at Smokey.

“You’re fucking scary.” Smokey slapped him on the back.

The warehouse they were at, and where they told Ortiz to bring them, was the place they dealt with club problems.

He walked toward the closet at the far end of the warehouse, and, opening up the safe, he removed the tools he’d spent a hell of a lot of time cleaning.

Kinky put a table near the two men, and he opened up his case, holding up a scalpel to inspect. The blade was sharp. All of his tools were. He didn’t believe in doing anything by halves. He was a master in this world.

Rolling up the sleeves of his cut, he stepped toward the first man, the one who tried to hurt them or who thought it would be a good idea to do it.

“You want to tell me who you work for?”

Silence.

Ugly Beast stared at the man tied to a chair. Torture was never fun when his victim was already unable to fight back. However, he couldn’t exactly take the time to have some fun with fighting and winning.

He could slash the guy. Add a couple of extra scars to the man’s face and body. His chest was exposed.

Maybe grab a tit, and slice? So much could be done. So many decisions.

He opted for the eye.

When it came to Garofalo and Vigo, Ugly Beast had no patience.

These men were sent to spy on them, in their territory, and right now, he was really fucking insulted by the complete lack of respect.

The men screamed out as the blade pierced his eye.

The pained noise filled the room, echoing off the walls.

“I’m guessing as made men, you need the use of both of your eyes, right? Otherwise you’re damaged goods.”

“You’re fucking insane,” the other man finally spoke.

Removing the blade from the man’s eye, he stepped up to the other.

“Why are you here?”

Silence.

Looking back at Smokey, his president shrugged. This was his call, his show.

Smokey wanted to know why they were there.

Ugly Beast stabbed the man in the eye. He now had two partially blind made men, and he waited as one of them started to talk.

What came out of his mouth, he didn’t expect, and finding out they were a distraction didn’t bode well for Ugly Beast.

“We were to be a distraction so he could see her.”

“Who?”

“Gable Vigo wanted to see his daughter without any of the Hell’s Bastards listening in.”

Abriana was home alone, and Ugly Beast had just given Vigo the chance to turn his daughter against them.

Chapter Nine

Abriana stared at the cookbook Ugly Beast had given her and checked through the list of ingredients again. She then read through the instructions, and again, it all was the same. She had followed everything.

Only the roast chicken was black on the outside and still raw in the center. Cooking shouldn’t be this hard. She’d watched a few of the celebrity chefs, and they made it look super easy.
