“Okay, so what approach are you g
oing for? In your eyes, what is the perfect wedding dress?” she asked.
“The thing is, I’m very picky and every other dress that I’ve seen so far didn’t fulfil my likings. I just want something that isn’t too over the top, but isn’t too boring either,” I said, trying to explain to her the best way I could. Hell, how many ways could I say that I just wanted a perfect dress?
“Hmm, stay right here, I think I know the perfect dress for you and I know that you are going to love it,” she smiled, and skipped off to go look for the dress.
“Tisha, I already know you about to drive this lady crazy,” Tamika said, with her pregnant ass.
“Ima behave today, only because I got my kids with me,” I said, looking over at Harmony and Tamia playing around in the corner of the store.
Ten minutes later, the sale clerk Tiffany came back holding a beautiful ivory dress in her hands. At that moment, I knew that dress was the one. I wasn’t even wearing it yet, but I knew that I was going to look beautiful in it. It was a strapless Vera Wang dress, adorned with stunning beaded lace applique detail. The floral tulle overlay cascaded from the waist down, turning it into a full-blown skirt.
“This is our limited edition, Twill Gazor Lace Applique Gown. Isn’t the teal overlay just amazing?” she asked, smiling.
“Yes, this dress is everything. Can I try it on?” I asked, ready to see how I was going to look in the dress.
“Definitely, come with me,” she said, pulling on my arm and leading me into the back fitting room.
“Tisha hurry up, we want to see the dress,” Ka’lani yelled from the front. I laughed at my best friend, with her crazy ass. Five minutes later, I was coming from out the back and I went to stand in the middle of the store, surrounded by mirrors on each side of me. I instantly started crying with how beautiful I looked. The dress fit my body to a tee, and I loved everything about it. I didn’t need any adjustment or anything.
“Go best friend, that’s my best friend, that’s my best friend...You betta...you betta...” Tamika, Ka’lani, and Kyla all said, coming over to me and singing along to the Tokyo Vanity best friend vine. I couldn’t do anything but laugh at they crazy asses while I tried to stop from crying.
“’Girl you look amazing. Look at you! What’s a waist?” Ka’lani said, referring to how unbelievably small my waist was.
“Tisha baby, you look beautiful,” Mama Sharon told me.
“I told you that you would love it,” Tiffany told me, and I couldn’t help but smile.
After modeling in the dress for another five minutes, I went back to the back to change out of it and back into my clothes. After paying for the dress, the girls and I decided to go out for lunch. I was so happy that I finally found the perfect dress; now all I needed was a perfect wedding, with no unexpected guests.
Chapter 18: Tyrone
It was 10:30 o’clock at night, and my wife had sent me to Walmart to get some damn cookies and cream ice cream for her ass. A nigga was dog shit tired, but I already knew if I didn’t go, Ka’lani was going to annoy my ass to death by constantly asking me. Only reason why she wanted me to go is because I didn’t want her ass outside in the streets at night by herself, so she had no choice but to ask me to do it for her. I’m only going because she promised me some head when I got back home and like the nigga that I was, I got my ass up and went and got my wife her shit that she had asked for.
Walking into the store in Publix, I headed over to the bakery, went down to the ice cream aisle, and got my wife two pints of the Ben & Jerry’s cookies and cream ice cream. There wasn’t really a lot of customers in the store, because they were about to start closing at 11. I walked over and got in line and paid for my things. After that, I walked outside and headed back to my car. As soon as I got inside, I put the bags in the passenger seat and started to start the car up. Not even a minute later, I noticed Marshae and another female walk by my car and head inside of the store. I knew that Otis had been looking for this bitch since she pretty much was the reason why he and Tisha didn’t get married. I was even helping his ass look for her, but we always came up empty and nobody knew where the fuck she was at either. I swore up and down that she was dead, but Tisha had told Ka’lani that every once in a while, she would get strange calls from a private number. This only proved to me that I was wrong the whole time, and that this bitch was definitely alive and kicking. This hoe was walking around like she didn’t have people out here gunning for her head. I quickly turned my car off and pulled my phone from out of my pocket to call Otis. I know this shit was going to brighten up his damn day.
“What’s good nigga?” he asked, sounding wide-awake. Neither one of us was the club tonight. We had our new assistant, Elijah, running things. After that whole shit went down with Symone, I was forced to fire her ass and I had to find someone to take her spot. Ka’lani let me know that it couldn’t be a bitch either, which is why I hired Elijah. He was referred to me by an old friend of mine, and the nigga had club managing experience and his resume was on point, so I went ahead and hired him. For the most part, he stayed on his shit and I hadn’t had any problems out of him as of yet. Ka’lani definitely didn’t have to worry now about the new assistant manager since it was a nigga this time and not a badass bitch around me 24/7.
“My nigga, you will never guess who the fuck I just seen walk inside Walmart,” I said hyped, knowing that he would get his ass down here quick, fast, and in a hurry once he found out who I just seen.
“Who?” he asked me.
“Nigga, Marshae!” I said, too damn crunk.
“For real? Which Walmart? I’m getting ready to leave the house right fuckin now! Don’t leave, stay right there and don’t let the bitch see you either. I’m tired of letting this bitch slip through my hands every fuckin time,” Otis said and from the sound of things, I could hear his ass moving around, like he was about to get ready to come. I wouldn’t be surprised if this nigga was already in his car, on his way over here because that’s just how bad he wanted that bitch dead. I told him which Walmart it was and just sat in my car and waited for him to get here. I know my wife was going to fuckin kill me if I didn’t hurry up and bring my ass home. I shot her a text and told her that I had to stop and get gas, and that I would be home shortly.
Chapter 19: Otis
A nigga trigger finger was itching and I couldn’t wait to put this shit to fuckin use. When Ty called me, I was up watching Boyz N the Hood. I had just fucked the shit out of my girl and she was in a coma right now, sleeping like a baby. I dressed in some black sweats, a black V- neck, and some black Timbs. I sat on the edge of the bed to tie up my boots, and that’s when I heard Tisha move around in the bed.
“Baby, where you going?” she asked, still laying on her stomach, not even turning around to look at me. She just knew that I wasn’t in the bed and since I was making so much noise, she assumed that I was leaving. I wasn’t about to tell Tisha what I was about to do, because I knew that she would try and come. I honestly wanted to handle this shit by myself this time. I let Tisha pull the trigger last time but shit, it was my turn now.
The way she was laying down, with the cover stopping just above her ass was so fuckin sexy to me. She had her long hair all over her head, stopping at the middle of her back. I was able to get a glance at the big tattoo of my name that she had on her lower back. Damn, this girl was the shit and then some! No wonder why Marshae’s ass wouldn’t stop causing unnecessary problems to our marriage. She couldn’t stand to see me walking around this bitch with the baddest thing walking these streets.
“I’m about to run out right quick, I’ll be back before you wake up,” I said, pulling the covers up so they could cover up her full body. She had already fallen back to sleep, so I kissed her on the cheek and left. I knew she had to be tired because normally she would have questioned my ass, but all she did was turn around and go to sleep. When I pulled up to Walmart, I called Ty and he told me where he was parked, so I parked my car in the back and walked towards his tr
uck. I got in and we passed the blunt back and forth that he was smoking on before I got in. A nigga was anxious as fuck to pull that damn trigger.
