“Yeah, Sunshine, you do that. Pancakes, bacon, eggs, and coffee? Or do you want something else?” he questions.

“That sounds amazing, actually,” I say as I get up from the bed and go to the bathroom to slip my dress back on, along with my wedges, and bra. I walk back out dressed and am disappointed to see that Zack has on his pajama pants and a cotton tee. I was hoping to see more of him before I had to go, even if I’m only going to be gone a handful of minutes.

“I’ll be back in just a few minutes,” I tell him walking to the door. I’m no sooner at the door than I am being turned around and his lips are on mine. He’s kissing me as if I’m leaving for days instead of minutes.

“Sunshine, you leave again without giving me a kiss we’re gonna have problems,” he rasps as his lips leave mine.

“Alrighty then,” I tell him and turn to leave. I’m murmuring out “who says alrighty then to the hottest guy on the face of this earth?” as I walk to my hotel room. I go right to my suitcase, not having unpacked it since we first got here. I grab my beach bag with a change of clothes, bathing suit, sunglasses, and of course my sunscreen. It isn’t until I’m out of the shower and brushing my teeth that I realize Sophia isn’t in the room and it doesn’t look like she was even here last night. I go to my phone and bring up her name and call her. When I get her voicemail, I tell her, “Hey Soph, just letting you know I’ll be with Zack today. Uh, I noticed you weren’t in the hotel room last night. I hope you had a good night, check in when you can. Love you.”

I finish getting dressed in a pair of draw string shorts, v neck tee, and sandals. I snag my hotel key and walk out the door and head back to Zack.

Chapter 12

Zack

I ordered room service as soon as Natalie walked out the door, hoping to get our food up here as quickly as possible. When the elevator pings, I go to the door and wait for the doors to open. I knew Natalie was only going to be gone a few minutes, but I’m even more surprised to see that she’s dressed and ready to start the day all before our breakfast is here. When she walks in, Natalie immediately drops her bag and rushes into my arms.

My lips find hers, and I give her a quick kiss as the elevator is pinging again, this time with our food.

“Christ, room service has shit timing,” I rumble into her ear, before we pull apart and I head to hit the button to let them in.

“Room service,” the hotel employee announces as he walks in and heads straight to the dine in table and chairs. We follow him as he puts everything out on the table and leaves the food covered in the silver domes to keep it warm. I pull Natalie’s chair out so she can sit down.

“I’ll be right back,” I breathe into her ear. I walk room service out and slip him a tip before I go back to the table to start having breakfast with Natalie.

When I return, she’s taken the domes off and is slathering her pancakes with syrup. I sit down and dig into my food and I hear her moan as she takes a bite of her pancakes.

“Oh my gosh Zack, these are the best pancakes I’ve ever tasted,” she says as she continues eating. Damn if I don’t find I want to see and hear her moan for me again.

“The best, huh?” I subtly adjust myself and dig into my pancakes.

“It’s very possible,” she says coyly.

“We’ll see about that, Sunshine,” I tell her.

We finish our breakfast in silence, it’s not the stilted silence either. It’s a comfortable silence. I find myself enjoying the calmness while eating and keeping my eyes firmly planted on her.

Once we’re finished, I help her up from her chair and gather the dishes on to the rolling cart the valet left and put it in the elevator for them. When I return, I don’t see Natalie anywhere. I go into the bedroom and see the bathroom door shut, and wander into the walk-in closet the penthouse provides and quickly change into my swim trunks and head towards the pool. I have my sunglasses on, a cigarette in my hand, about to light it when Nat comes out. I immediately put my smokes down and head straight towards her. She’s wearing the same one piece she had on when I first saw her at the pool, her curves are on display and I love seeing them. I take her hand and walk her to the lounge chair I just vacated and sit her down and then get in behind her. I grab the suntan lotion, knowing her skin is silky smooth and I don’t want her fried.
