When he pulls back, his dark eyes lock on to mine. I reach up to touch my mouth, still feeling him there. The kiss we just shared feels unreal. A kiss like that couldn’t be real. This is the second time he’s left me speechless in a matter of moments. It’s why I’ve tried to keep my distance from him. I can’t think when he’s near me. That might be the problem though. Maybe I think too much. I should enjoy the moment. My eyes catch on the ring he’s put on my finger. I don’t want a moment. I want it all.

“I’ll marry you.” I give him a smirk. “If you kiss me like that everywhere.” I have to half shout the last part as the helicopter rises into the air. From the heat in his eyes I know he heard me. I also know he would kiss me anywhere. I’m quickly learning Aaron would do just about anything for me.

He keeps me close as the helicopter leaves the city. I wonder how long until my mom hears about this. Oh! I forgot my phone. Not that I really need it. I only kept checking it to see if Aaron texted me. Julie is my left-hand woman and she can run everything without me. She knows the ins and outs of the few small companies I own. If anything, she’ll be happy I am MIA for a while and not plotting new ideas or ventures for us to do. She calls them my projects. She is right. I did have projects because I was bored.

My eyes are still locked on Aaron as I realize I haven’t been bored since he showed up on my scene. No, I spent my time checking on him to make sure he was checking on me. How ridiculous is that? I was like a cat chasing my own tail. He has made me involuntarily obsessed with him. When I think back, I realize that I was never alone because he has always been there in some form with me. I knew he had people follow me to keep tabs on me. At first I didn’t know what to think of it. I enjoyed him watching me. I found I enjoyed all things Aaron. It dawns on me that he is showing me he isn’t going anywhere. All this time that he’s been doing it and he’s never wavered and he never will. He is reassuring me that no matter how hard I push he is an unmovable force that will always be there for me.

Once again, the man has read me well. It wasn’t five minutes ago I was having a pity party on the phone with my brother about being alone and here he is telling me time is up. Our little game is over. Maybe he thought I was going to fight him on it. I might have but he caught me off guard by dropping to his knees right in front of me. It was the last thing I’d ever expected him to do.

I don’t think Aaron gets on his knees for just anyone. For me, though, the giant man who scares most people with a mere look dropped right down and asked to have me. Okay, maybe he didn’t ask, but still, he demanded from his knees, which I think is hotter. He has the kind of strength I need but I wasn’t willing to ask for. I would push and push to see how far I could get. It’s my nature. Aaron would give me an inch or two but then I hit the wall that was him and games were done.

I lick my lips, drawing his eyes to them. The thought of what being caught actually means has me excited, rethinking my choice of poking him about the being good in bed thing. He now looks more determined than ever to prove his point to me. His eyes go to my mouth that I know is swollen from his kiss, my lips not being used to such treatment. The rest of me isn’t accustomed to his ways either. I talk a big game but Aaron is about to find out it is all talk. I’m not sure I can hide my virginity. I’m sure he already knows about it anyway. He seems to know everything there is to know about me.

“Landing, dollface.” I can read his lips. My eyes look back out the window to see where we are. We haven’t been in the helicopter long. What looks to be a mini castle comes into view. My mouth falls open when I realize what it is. I know this estate. I bid on this very property about a year ago and I was more than disappointed when I didn’t get it.
