She finishes chewing the bite of food in her mouth. “I’m eating for two. I can’t help myself.” She points to the tiny baby bump she’s rocking. I roll my eyes.

“I’m eating for three.” I point to my very big baby belly. I am due any time now. Well, the doc said my water could break and then it would be go time. I am scheduled to be induced in two days. What were the odds both my sister and I would end up having twins? When I first found out I was having twins I kinda freaked out. Okay, kinda is an understatement but like always,

Cullen calmed me down. Then his mom swooped in with her supportive ways and eased some of my fears. That woman is a saint. I am thankful to have her in our lives. She might not be Luna’s and my birth mom but she is a better mom than I could have asked for. Sometimes I get down thinking of my own parents but not enough to look for them. They didn’t deserve to be a part of my or Luna’s life and I have come to terms with that. I am grateful that my marriage to

Cullen hasn’t only given me him as my husband but a loving family to go along with it. We started a whole new life together and we are about to begin a new Chapter.

“I can’t wait for them to get here.” Luna’s voice drops. “I’m going to be their favorite aunt.” She looks over her shoulder. “Don’t tell Savannah I said that.”

“You keep eating all my cake and I’m going to snitch on you,” I lie.

“Liar,” she says smugly before taking another giant bite of cake knowing I’m no snitch.

“Where is your shadow?” I ask, going to get myself a piece of cake. Maddox is never far from her. He can’t seem to keep his hands off of her. It’s nothing new since he’s been like that from day one when it came to Luna. I couldn’t have asked for a better brother-in-law if I created him myself. They are perfect for each other and every time I see them together it warms my heart.

“With yours.” She hops down from the stool, going over to the refrigerator where she gets herself something to drink. I’m guessing it’s to wash down all of the stolen cake. She grabs me a bottle of water too. “Star and Castor are with Grandma and Grandpa.” She pauses to look at me. “I was lucky to have you to raise me but having the Castiles for our babies is like the icing on the cake.”

My eyes start to water. “Luna, you know I cry easily right now.” I jerk the water bottle from her hand.

“Well, since you already sprung a leak might as well tell you that I know you’re going to be a kickass mom. You were to me.” She leans in, kissing my cheek before taking back off to her stool to finish her cake.

I didn’t do too bad a job with Luna. We had a crappy mother and I know that woman put shit into Luna’s head about the way she was. She has her quirks and can be a little bit of a mess at times but that’s her. She is and will always be the sweetest person I’ve ever known. No one has more heart than her. I took care to handle her right. I was always there to try and wash the crap off of her that our crappy-ass mother tried to fling her way.

“Thanks, Luna.” She smiles at me as she takes another bite of my cake. Hearing her words puts me more at ease. I don’t half-ass anything and I wouldn’t do it at being a mom. She’s right. I’ve done it before and I can do it again. This time I am going to have a whole family to help me.

I take a bite of the cake I made in the middle of the night. I got a craving and crawled out of bed to make it. I thought the thirty minutes of waiting for it to cook would be torture but my handsome husband made the time fly by. He sat me on the kitchen counter, eating me over and over again until the cake was finished cooking. I believe I was on my third orgasm when the oven timer finally dinged. By then I was too sleepy to eat it. Cullen carried me to bed where I passed out. That cake was the first thing I thought about when I woke up this morning. My plan was to have it for my breakfast but Luna beat me to it. That’s what I get for sleeping so late.

“Do you think Cullen’s dick is the reason you can bake now?” I spit my food out at Luna’s ridiculous question. I’m not totally sure if it’s the question or how serious her face is while she asks it. “All I’m saying is you couldn’t bake until he started giving you the D.”
