“I’m good with that, but what do you mean by ‘my surf shop’? Do you live down here?” I clearly didn’t ask any questions last night. My heart was happy he was here, and I didn’t think to question anything. Not when he told me we’d discuss everything.

“Yeah, I live down here. It’s not much of a place, but it’s where I rest my head. I’m usually not there all that much, not with the Wet Spot keeping me busy. That and building surfboards.” It seems we have a lot to talk about, and it’s not something that can wait too much longer.

“Oh,” I stammer out. Sailor’s head pops up and he babbles, “Ma, ma, ba, ba, da, da.”

“Yeah, I hear you, kiddo. It must be snack time,” I tell Sailor. His eyes light up and he responds, “Nack,” one of the few words I can clearly hear in his vocabulary.

“He just ate breakfast. We had eggs, pancakes, and yogurt. I wasn’t sure if he could have sausage or bacon but knew the softer foods would be fine.” I look at the alarm clock I have sitting on the opposite side of the room. Yes, I have an old-fashioned alarm clock. It’s brown and ugly, but it’s so loud that I know to get my ass up before it wakes up Sailor. It gets me up, I get to do my yoga, have a cup of coffee, and enjoy the sunrise before he’s up and ready to start his days. I didn’t set it last night because well, today is my day off, plus I had other things on my mind, namely the man sitting in my bed.

“He can have bacon, just in small pieces. I haven’t done plain sausage yet unless it’s in gravy, but he didn’t really care for that. It might have been too spicy.” I remember that day. I was craving some comfort food. I whipped up some sausage gravy, homemade biscuits, sat down to eat it with Sailor, and he turned his nose up at the gravy after a small taste, but he sure did tear into the biscuits. I sliced him up some fruit to go along with it, and eggs. He was happy, but it still hurt my heart that my son didn’t love one of my favorite foods. Therefore, I no longer make it.

“You look like someone kicked your puppy,” Mateo says while Sailor is crawling back and forth between us, not realizing what he just said until the words are already out. “Pu-pup?”

“You’ve done it now,” I joke.

“Oh God, I did, didn’t I? He might be slightly attached to that toy.” I watch as Mateo picks up Sailor, places him on the ground, waiting until he’s stable enough before letting him go, and turning back to me.

“You should see him with his blanket that has tags all the way around. You’re lucky he didn’t drag that with him out of bed.” I’m resituating the sheet when I feel Mateo tug it down, his eyes feasting on my breasts, and not in the least did he make me feel like time has changed the shape of my body, even the stretch marks. He kissed them but didn’t linger. The hunger I see in his eyes now, though, it’s much like it was earlier this morning.

“Don’t think we won’t pick up tonight where we left off, but there was no way I was going all day without seeing you naked.” His mouth dips to one nipple, licking it and sucking on it before moving to the other one. My hand holds his head to me, wanting more.

“Mateo.” His name is a plea coming from my lips.

“I know, but right now, we have a little boy to hang out with. Tonight, we’ll talk, then I’m bringing you back to bed.” He laps at my nipples one last time before pulling away, when all I want is to bring him closer and have him use his mouth, fingers, and cock over and over again.

“Please.” I try to go after him, my body moving toward him, the sheet falling to the bed, but he backs up, leaving me naked on the bed.

“Soon. If we start this now, we won’t do anything else, and we have a boy who needs to be taken care of.” I see the strain in his shorts, glad I’m not the only one who’s going to be left aching and needing.

“Fine. Give me a few minutes to use the bathroom, then I’ll get ready.” I’m already getting out of bed, letting him see me completely naked, this time standing.

“Alright, but mi diosa, keep your fingers out of your pussy,” he demands before turning on his heel and exiting the bedroom. I shake my head because that’s exactly what I was going to do.
