“Good. Let’s go have some fun. I haven't taken a vacation since I started my business six years ago.”
“Oh my. That can’t be healthy.”
“It’s all I had. I don’t have a girlfriend or family. I just had the business that I wanted to succeed.”
“Did it?” She knew the answer without asking. He was too alpha, too self-assured to not succeed in anything he sets his mind to.
“Yeah. It has gotten bigger than I ever imagined.”
She beamed up at him.
“Baby, if we don’t get out of bed now, I’m afraid I’ll have you under me.”
She laughed. “You want to squish me?”
He grinned. “No, I want to kiss you, and if I do that, it might get out of control.”
Shock froze her in place. The fact he wanted to kiss her stupefied her. This was a man who could get anyone.
A thought sprang to mind.
“I can see your brain circling,” he said suspiciously. “What are you thinking?”
“I couldn’t understand how you could want me, but then I realized that I’m handy and the only woman in your vicinity.”
“There is so much wrong with that I don’t know where to start.” He pressed a quick kiss to her lips and rolled out of bed.
When he turned, his hard cock stood out in stark relief, tenting his shorts. She couldn’t take her eyes off it.
He bent down, rested his hands on the bottom of the mattress, and leaned toward her. “I’m giving you five seconds before I think you want me to get back in bed with you.”
Her heart thundered in her chest.
“Five.”
Her nipples tightened unbearably.
“Four.”
She looked into his eyes. He was serious, and she decided she wasn’t for sure if she was ready for it.
“Three.”
“Two…”
With a squeal, she rolled out of bed and stood to face him.
“Damn.” He grinned. “Come on, baby. Let’s get dressed.”
Within fifteen minutes, they were sliding into a booth. The same booth they’d had the night before. She picked up her menu and concentrated on it.
“What can I get you to drink?”
Nia watched as the waitress practically drooled all over Travis. The fact Nia was sitting right there didn’t seem to curtail her flirting made her feel self-conscious. Did she look that bad?
“I’ll take a coffee and orange juice.” His eyes never left Nia. “Does that sound okay, sweetheart?”
She looked at him. “Yes, thank you, sweetheart.”
