“No, she’s an expert on etiquette. I found her website when I was researching how to hold a dinner party. She has a lot of useful and handy tips.”
“She does, huh?” Tiny strode toward her, but she scarcely noticed him.
“Maybe I need more bread. People like bread.”
Tiny placed his hands on her shoulders. “It’s going to be all right.”
“I’ve never held a dinner party before. I’ve seen them on T.V., read about them, but it’s not the same.”
“Not really a dinner party. Just some friends coming to eat.”
She took a deep breath, trying to calm the knot in her stomach.
“This isn’t about food. What’s wrong?” he asked her.
It still surprised her how easily he could read her. “These are your friends. People you work with. What if they don’t like me? I’ll try, I really will. But what if I say the wrong thing? I—”
He kissed her. “They’ll like you.”
She wasn’t so sure.
“They have their own quirks. Trust me.”
“I do. I trust you more than anyone else.”
“Stop worrying, I won’t let anything bad happen. Want me to take your mind off things?”
“I just got dressed.” She held up her hands with a laugh as he came toward her. “Tiny, no!”
He picked her up, swinging her over his shoulder. “Tiny!” She slammed her hands against his back. “Stop!”
“Got a few hours. Plenty of time.”
He swung her down onto the bed with a grin. Slipping his hand under her dress, he cupped her mound.
She gave up protesting because let’s face it, he made a damn good distraction.
“I’ve neglected you,” he told her.
“What? How?” She scowled up at him. Neglect her? He was the most attentive person she’d ever met. Nothing got past him, even if she wished some things might.
“I’ve been promising to take your ass for weeks now.”
“Oh, that.”
He grinned. A wicked grin. Oh, he was enjoying this.
She eyed him nervously. Suddenly, he dragged her to the edge of the bed.
“Ooh,” she cried, then giggled.
“You dare laugh!” he said with mock fury. “I see I have to take you in hand.”
“Anytime, Sir. Anytime.”
He opened the front tie of her wraparound dress and parted the sides, revealing her matching red panties and bra.
“Need more of these.”
