“But. . .but you just said you weren’t going to punish me,” she protested.
“For coming onto my property alone,” he explained. “But you broke another rule, didn’t you? And you definitely knew about that rule.”
She pouted. “Couldn’t we just start the whole punishment thing from now? Like a do-over, now that I know there is actual punishment for breaking the rules rather than just suffering through your disappointment.”
He grinned at her. “Suffering through my disappointment?”
“I’m sure that’s enough of a punishment, right?”
“Nice try, but no. I want you to go stand in the corner. Nose touching the wall, legs spread slightly and ass pushed out.”
“You. . .you’re joking, right?” She could hear the high squeak in her voice.
“I’m not. And if you want to prolong your corner time then keep on arguing with me. Actually, before you do, put this on.” He walked behind his desk, reached into a box and picked up a sweatshirt with the shop’s logo on it.
With a small squeal, she moved into the corner. Her cheeks were bright red. She
couldn’t believe she was doing this. Yet at the same time, a part of her was pleased. Not about the corner time. She hated corner time.
But the fact that he cared about her safety. And he was willing to back up his words with actions. It made her feel secure. Taken care of.
And wasn’t that just what everyone wanted?
She found her mind drifting slightly as she stood there. For someone who had never done this, he sure was finding his Daddy side quickly.
He was a natural.
“Baby girl, you can come out of the corner now.”
She turned and walked out right into his arms. He held her tight.
He officially gave the best hugs.
He kissed the top of her head then drew her over to his desk. “Right, little rebel. I have some paper here for you. I’m going to go see whether the guys are all finished. I want you to write, one hundred times, ‘I will not disobey Daddy.’ Understand?”
She gaped up at him. “You’re giving me lines?”
“Yep. Problem?”
“Um, I’ve never done lines before.”
“First time for everything. And maybe this will help remind you to obey me. I’ll be back soon. Make sure the writing is legible, you get extra lines if it’s not.”
Extra lines! That didn’t sound fair.
She scowled down at the paper as he left the room. Well, this sucked. She was thinking she’d rather take a spanking. The image of her lying over Duke’s lap, his hand smacking down on her bare ass filled her mind.
She squirmed at the thought, feeling aroused and nervous. Maybe she shouldn’t think about that right now.
She started her lines, having to roll up the sleeves of the huge sweatshirt he’d given her to wear.
She wasn’t sure how long he’d been gone, but when he returned, she glanced up immediately.
“How you getting on, baby girl?”
“Okay. I guess. Are you sure I have to write this a hundred times?”
“That sounds like whining. Whining gets you extra lines as well.”
