I frowned. “Forgive you for what, doll?”
She bit her bottom lip and shook her head, tickling me with a few locks of her hair. “For sending you away. I’m so sorry. I cried so much when you left because I was so scared I fucked everything up.”
I cupped her face in my hand. “There is nothing to forgive you for, Santana. If it had been you in that picture with two guys all over you, I would have hit the roof. I wouldn’t have known what to believe, either.” I traced a finger over her bottom lip, rubbing away the sting she must have given herself. “Thank you for believing me about it. Trust is the most important thing in any relationship.”
“I do trust you. You’ve shown me over and over again that I’m important to you. You’re a good guy, Kale. That’s pretty rare these days.” She crossed her arms over my chest and rested her chin on them. “You made me fall for you hard and fast.”
“Hey,” I teased. “You had me falling first.”
She rolled her dark eyes. “So, we fell together.”
I pulled her completely on top of me. The feel of her silky heat brushing against me waking my body up all over again.
Feeling my dick thickening against her abdomen, her eyes lowered to slits again, giving me that dreamy, well-fucked look.
“Nine weeks is a long time to go h
ungry for you, doll. How long do you think it would take to fulfill this aching need I have for you?”
She pressed her lips to mine, then moved to nip on my earlobe. “Never, I hope.”
I closed my eyes, losing myself in the feel of her against me, of holding her and being able to dive into her sweet heat anytime I wanted to.
“Me, too, doll. Me, too.”
TWENTY FOUR
Santana
We stayed locked in our room until it was time to go to the show on Saturday. I had none of my things with me since Kin and I had dropped our carry-on cases at the bus the night before on our way to surprise the guys. That meant I didn’t get to change clothes until we got back to the bus, where the others were already waiting on us, including Travis.
Climbing onto the bus, I saw that Kin and Jace were still glued at the hips and lips, but at least they had clothes on. I figured they had gotten their own hotel room the night before. I couldn’t see them going at it like rabbits on the same bus as Jace’s little sister.
Sin, Gray, and Cash were sitting around the living area of the bus, looking bored. When they saw me with Kale, though, they perked up.
“Good to see you,” Cash said as he got up to hug me. “Glad you’re feeling better. I had food poisoning once. I’ve never been so sick in my life.”
“Yeah, it wasn’t fun; that’s for sure.”
Gray gave me a fist bump when I passed him, and I even got a semi-smile from Sin, which was really a huge honor. I doubted the guy ever truly smiled. Travis was standing in the little kitchenette, doing something on his phone. He barely gave me a second glance before turning away with a look on his face that suggested he thought I smelled bad or something.
“Where’s Kassa?” I asked when I noticed she wasn’t there.
“She’s still in the bathroom, primping,” Gray grunted out, lifting a bottle of beer to his lips. “Doesn’t matter that I told her she’s beautiful, she still takes a fucking hour to get ready.”
“Just because you tell me I’m beautiful, doesn’t mean I feel beautiful,” she sassed at him as she came down the small hall from the back of the bus.
I met her in the kitchenette and hugged her.
“Hey! It’s so good to see you. How are you feeling?”
“Other than having a new fear of eating anything that comes from the ocean, I’m good as new.” I gave her a once over, taking in her makeup and clothes. She hadn’t worn this much makeup the few times I had hung out with her in the past. She didn’t need it, but it didn’t look overdone like some chicks tended to do. It was edgy, definitely rocker-ish. She looked hot as fuck. A fact that Gray seemed to take notice of immediately.
“Go fucking change right now,” he raged.
I had barely taken in her outfit, but now, all eyes were on what she was wearing.
Leather pants that looked like they had been spray-painted over her legs, and a fishnet top over a black bra. Her hair was pulled up into a sleek ponytail on top of her head, showing off her graceful neck and the gold hoops dangling from her ears.
