“You telling me what I think you’re telling me Sophia?” he questions. He has a smile and I can see the glassiness in his eyes.
“Yes, we’re pregnant,” I say with a tremor in my voice.
“We made this; we made a baby. I’m going to be a dad?” he’s in shock. I lean up and kiss him and hug him towards my body.
He holds me, his body curved over mine, making sure not to put pressure on my belly. We lay here just like this, comfortable in each other’s embrace.
Epilogue Two

Three Years Later
We’re back where it all started, except this time we have two little ones in tow and a third one on the way. Our two-year-old son is a handful. Jaxon came out kicking, screaming, and as soon as he was able to voice his opinions he did, I thought for sure Sophia was going to say no more after him, but she shocked the shit out of me asking to try again late one night. I wasn’t going to say no. Jade came a little over a year ago, and if I thought Jaxon had my heart, well Jade put herself firmly right beside him.
One Friday I came home from work, the house was a wreck, toys were everywhere, dishes were piled up on the counter, and laundry was over flowing in the laundry room. I stopped in my tracks when I saw Sophia laid out on the couch, one kid laying on top of her and the other one firmly beside her. They were all fast asleep, having a nap. It made me stop. I stepped back and realized I was missing so much and Sophia who never complained not once. Being a stay at home working mother, she did it all, every step of the way. When I was out of town for days at a time, she kept our family together.
I went to work Monday and immediately put the rest of my hotels up for sale. I was done. I did keep our resort in Mexico. All of my employees were shocked when I stepped back, but I couldn’t continuously leave and work the long hours I was working and putting it all on Sophia’s shoulders. It wasn’t fair on her, and it sure as fuck wasn’t fair on our children.
I’m outside standing on our back porch. Sophia is down at the beach with a two-piece bikini, still looking as hot as ever, even with a small rounded belly, yet playing with the kids and building sand castles. I grab a cooler that’s filled with drinks and snacks for everyone and make my way down to be with them.
What can I say? It’s her love that’s made me become the man and father I am today, and I can’t thank my lucky stars enough these days.
