“So strong,” he murmurs against my mouth. “I’m yours.” His lips tug at mine. “Only yours.” My hands move behind his neck, my fingers getting lost in his hair. “Unconditionally. Irrevocably. All-consumingly.”

Remembering the words from when we made love makes me remember… not the cabin… but us.

Us as kids. As teenagers. As best friends. As lovers.

Christopher is all that matters.

“Eternally,” I whisper.

Chapter 28

CHRISTOPHER

It’s been two weeks since I returned to work. Knowing Miss Sebastian is with Dash during the day is the only reason I’ve been able to get anything done.

I spoke with Mom, and she arranged everything for today. With it being a Saturday morning, I decide to leave fifteen minutes earlier, so we’re not late.

“Where are we going?” Dash asks as I pull her into the elevator.

“You’ll see,” I tease.

She’s been getting better, every day a little more. I haven’t pushed her sexually, but I’m starting to struggle. A lot.

Letting go of her hand, I brush my palm over her ass. Dash moves closer, and turning slightly, she presses against my side. When the doors slide open, I give her a squeeze and nudge her forward.

“You’re really not going to tell me where we’re going?” she asks as we climb into the car.

“You’ll find out soon enough,” I tease again.

Her eyes begin to sparkle with excitement.

Another win.

I drive us to where the first boutique is situated, and when I park the car, Dash glances up and down the street. “Oh, there’s Mom’s car.”

My lips curve up as I get out. I wait for Dash, and taking hold of her hand, we cross the road, and then she gasps, “Wedding dresses?”

“Yes, today is all about finding the perfect dress for you,” I state, giving her a smile.

“It’s bad luck for you to see the dress,” she says, but the gorgeous smile on her face tells me she’s happy.

“Only if you believe in that shit. Besides, I’m still your best friend, so I think it earns me special rights.”

She lets out a chuckle as she leans into my arm and shoulder. When we step into the boutique, Mom, Aunt Leigh, Miss Sebastian, and Danny are already sitting with a glass of orange juice each.

I let go of Dash so she can hug and greet them all and go take a seat on one of the sofas. Within seconds Dash is swept up in the excitement of looking at the dresses on display.

Danny grabs one and shoving it against Dash, she shoos her into the dressing room. Aunt Leigh goes with Dash, probably to help her.

My sister turns to me. “God, she’s going to look stunning. Prepare yourself.”

I reach for an orange juice, and taking a sip, I realize it contains champagne. “God, so early in the morning,” I mutter as I place it back on the table.

“It’s five o’clock somewhere in the world,” Miss Sebastian says as she comes to sit down.

Minutes later, Aunt Leigh comes out looking a little teary-eyed. I lean forward, resting my forearms on my thighs, my eyes glued to the dressing room.

Yeah, I wasn’t prepared. The moment Dash comes out and she steps onto the small podium in front of the mirrors, a lump forms in my throat.

I clasp my hands together as an overwhelming feeling of love washes over me.

She’s a vision.

The women begin to talk at once while I can only stare at the white silk falling around her.

Where I think Dash looks absolutely breathtaking, Mom, Danny, and Miss Sebastian begin throwing one dress after the other at Dash.

With each one she tries on, her smile grows wider, and her eyes shine a little more.

Remember your dreams, Dash.

Her eyes lock on mine, and then she asks, “What do you think?”

“I think I’m going to get all emotional on our wedding day,” I admit, and it draws laughter from our family. Rising to my feet, I walk to where she’s standing in a lace wedding gown that accentuates every sexy curve of her body. I lean down until my lips brush against her ear, then murmur, “But I really, really want to rip this dress off you and fuck you until we’re both breathless.”

Dash lifts her face toward me, her cheek pressing against mine. “Now I know what to look forward to on our wedding night.”

I let out a low chuckle. “I will physically die if I have to wait that long.”

“Mhh… I should do something about that,” she teases.

“You should.” Pulling back, my eyes lock on hers, and seeing the desire darkening her green irises makes me feel like I just had another win.

“Christopher,” Mom snaps. “Come sit your butt down. There’s still a lot we need to do, and you’re holding us up.”

I shoot Mom a smile as I walk back to the sofa.

DASH

When we get back home, I’m filled with so much happiness, I’m unable to keep it all in.
