Jeff stood there and just stared at me like he was seeing me for the first time. His eyes traveled up and down my body.
I couldn’t believe that I was going to be his wife. And she was going to have his baby.
“Jeff?” I asked, trying to get his attention.
He looked like he was lost in space. What is he thinking about? I shook my head to wipe away the thoughts of Rebecca. I won’t let that bitch ruin my night anymore!
“Um, Jeff? Hello? Earth to Jeff. ”
Jeff slowly picked up my left hand and kissed the engagement ring. His beautiful green eyes caught mine. My heart was racing a mile a minute, and my knees felt weak just from that simple kiss.

Oh. My. God. Can he be any more perfect? Damn him! He was going to make me cry. Dickwad.
I stepped forward and placed my hands on his chest. He had already taken off his jacket and tie so I started to unbutton his vest. He looked so damn handsome in those black Wranglers and boots. I’d never get used to seeing him in Wranglers.
“I’d like nothing more than for you to make love to me, Jeff. ”
I slowly started to open his shirt revealing his massive chest. I leaned into him and kissed his chest softly as Jeff sucked in a deep breath. I loved how my touch still affected him so much.
I took off his shirt and threw it to the side. I lowered myself to my knees and started undoing his pants. As I took off his belt, I looked up at him and let out a small gasp. I was frozen in place from his stare. The way Jeff was looking at me made want to push his ass on the bed to have my wicked way with him. He hadn’t looked at me like that since the first time we made love.
Jeff reached down and grabbed my shoulders and pulled me up to him. He gripped his hand behind my neck and crushed my lips to his. He kissed me with so much passion that I could feel it running through my veins.
“Take off your boots, Ari. ”
“Okay. ”
I’d never taken off a pair of damn cowboy boots so fucking fast in my life. Something in Jeff’s voice had me panting with need.
He turned me around and started to undo my bra.
“I can practically hear your heart beating, Ari. ”
“Yes,” I whispered.
He slipped off the bra and started to kiss all the way down my back. My body was shaking in response to his touch.
“You’re so beautiful, baby. ”
He turned me around and lightly kissed me on the lips. Then, he dropped to his knees and started to kiss my stomach. He reached up and began taking my panties off.

“Ari, lie down on the bed. ”
Why does this feel like our first time all over again? I could hardly move I was so nervous. It wasn’t like we hadn’t had plenty of sex before tonight, but something about the way Jeff was talking to me moved through my body like a bolt of lightning.
I sat on the bed and slowly moved back. I watched as Jeff started to take his boots and jeans off. My breathing became heavier as I watched him undress. He picked up a remote and Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” started playing. Then, he just stood there, looking at me.
