Amusement vibrates through my chest. “Good?” I arch one brow at her in question. “Are you trying to tell me you weren’t the woman screaming my name seconds ago?” I challenge, noticing the flushed cheeks and sparkling eyes of the girl I’ve just lost myself to.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” she teases once more, and I’m slipping from her body, snaking my way down her torso, kissing and licking, nipping at her smooth skin. By the time I’m at her pussy, I’m hungry.

Starving.

Pushing her thighs apart, I lap at her drenched core. Her juices drip over my tongue, the sweet, musky flavors bursting on my taste buds.

“Colton!” Her squeal doesn’t halt my movements at all. If anything, I only devour her faster, teasing her entrance, sucking on her clit, grazing it with my teeth until her thighs are trembling.

“Was that good, love?” I question from my place between her thighs. Her mouth opens to retort something I’m sure, but she doesn’t have a moment to think because I dip two fingers inside her, crooking them before biting down gently on the bundle of nerves that has her peaking once more.

Her fingers tangle in my hair, tugging, and pulling. Her voice is croaky as my name tumbles over her plump lips. I continue my ministrations, assaulting her sweet pussy until I see her thighs shake violently, and her walls pulses around the two fingers I have inside her.

I tease that spot deep within her body, causing her to tug at my hair painfully, but it’s worth every moment of seeing her shudder as she drenches me in an orgasm I’m sure is going to have her exhausted.

I’m licking my lips, my fingers, and reveling in her flavor when Violet looks at me again. Her eyes are shining with sated happiness. Plump lips still parted with soft breaths, and her body still trembles as she comes down from the high.

“Got something more to say?” I challenge as she watches me dispose of the condom in the bin sitting to the side of the nightstand. Once I’ve bound the bag, reminding myself to take it out when we leave, I notice the small smile on her lips.

“Not right now,” Violet whispers. “How long can we stay here?” she asks, rolling over, making her tits look even bigger than they are, and I have to focus on her eyes, or I’ll be hard again within minutes.

“As long as you want,” I reply. “My place is your place. I want you to feel at home.” I scoot under the covers, pulling them over both of us, and Violet rests in the crook of my arm. Her hair shimmers in the dim light. “Are you going to tell me why your day was so shit?”

She stiffens at my question for a moment before releasing a long breath, and I have a feeling she may not want to talk about it. I shouldn’t have asked, but if we’re going to do this relationship thing, then I need to know what’s going on with her. And I want honesty.

“Violet?” I whisper her name when she doesn’t say anything. Then she tips her head back to look up at me. Her eyes are wide as she regards me from where she looks comfortable on my chest. “You can tell me anything. You know that. Right?”

Another sigh. “I know. It’s just not easy to talk about and to fully understand, I need to talk about my past. I need you to know why I am the way I am.”

“I’m listening, only if you want to talk about it,” I assure her. “I’m not one to judge, but I can be a shoulder, and I can carry heavier than you can.”

Her lips tilt infinitesimally. “Growing up, I spent my time in the shadow of my sister. She’s older, thinner, more beautiful than I could ever imagine myself being.”

“You’re gorgeous, Violet.” My voice is harsh, but I’m not apologizing for my tone. “Don’t ever let me hear you say that bullshit again.” Even with my chastising, she only offers a smile.

“Listen.” Violet locks her stare on mine. “At the time, I felt like that. As a teenager, I grew up reading magazines, pages filled with glossy, flawless people who were perfect, like my sister.”

“But nobody is perfect.”

She nods at my observation. “I realized it when I turned seventeen.” Violet goes silent for a while, her gaze casting over the wall as if she’s in a faraway place and time. I allow her the moment before she looks at me again. “When I had my senior prom, my sister told me she’d organized a date for me. A boy from school, Benjamin, collected me, drove me all the way to the school.”

“I bet you looked gorgeous.”

She grins. “I loved the dress. It was long, black, and made my curves look like they’d been carved away.” Violet rolls over, her arm resting across my chest, and her chin resting on her hand as she looks up at me. “It was a magical moment walking into the school gym with a handsome boy on my arm. But then I saw it, that Carrie moment when my sister and her friends dumped a bucket of paint all over me. She'd been living at home while attending college, so that night, they all made their way to the prom.”
