I gave him a once over. “But you see, I just mastered your own game, Valentin Solonik. Next time, pick a weaker prey because I am not him,” I drawled lazily. “You might be the Boss now, but you forgot that I am Konstantin. I don’t lose. Ever. And I never bow to anyone. If you want to be the Alpha, don’t pick me as your opponent, because you will never win.”
I stepped away from Valerie. “Get up,” I snapped.
She stood up on trembling legs, her body shaking, but she did as she was told.
Valentin’s eyes widened and his jaw clenched, seeing his wife obey me. This time it was my turn to laugh. Still chuckling, I said, “There is only one Alpha. And he is me.”
I walked past him and took a huge gulp from the bottle of brandy. “I just fucked your wife and made you watch. I just owned her cunt. How do you feel?”
Valentin crossed his arms. “Son. I feel nothing. Actually, I feel pleased. To see you like this. Besting me at my own games. But you see, I wanted you to fuck her and you did. So, in the end, I still won.”
He smirked and started pulling his clothes on. “I’ll meet you in the office later. I shall take my leave.” He waved a hand at Valerie, his lips curled up. “For now, enjoy her. She’s yours for the rest of the night. This is your only chance because you won’t get to touch her ever again.”
I continued to drink the bottle, trying to drive down the feeling of sickness rising in my throat. My stomach was cramping, and it felt like I was going retch right here, on the white carpets.
Valentin walked to Valerie, who stood silently, looking down at the floor. Her body swayed, but she didn’t fall.
He grabbed her chin and made her look at him. His look was filled with filth. “You looked like a disgusting whore. You liked it, didn’t you? Him fucking you? That’s okay. It will be the last time.”
His hand went between her legs, and he cupped her there. “Don’t forget who owns this, slut.”
His lips slammed down on hers, and he bit her lips hard. I flinched and felt it…the pain, her pain. When he pulled away, her lips were slightly bleeding. And then he cupped her left breast and bend his head down a little before he took her left nipple into her mouth.
She gasped in agony when he bit down again. Her body seized up and tears spilled down her cheeks. The bottle started to crack in my hands, the glass fragile under the pressure of my hold.
When he pulled away, there was a red bruise there and she was bleeding.
Motherfucker.
“Have a good night.” He chuckled.
I watched him walk away.
The door closed behind him.
I counted in my head.
Ten seconds.
I threw the bottle into the wall and watched it crash, the pieces flying around the room.
I turned to face Valerie. Our eyes met.
She inhaled.
I exhaled.
We breathed.
I wanted to reach for her…
I wanted to hold her.
She stared at me, silent…her eyes hazy and…
My sweet beautiful swan was broken.
Chapter 18
Valerie
Don’t leave me.
Don’t hate me.
Don’t leave me.
Don’t hate me.
My whole body trembled, my heart shaking with the aftershock of what just happened. Tremors coursed through my body, making me dizzy, and the room seemed to spin out of focus.
Stay.
Hold me.
Please.
I blinked, realizing that tears were building up in my eyes. The small salty droplets spilled onto my cheeks, but I didn’t have the energy to swipe them away.
I felt lightheaded. My body was weak. My heart was heavy. My soul was cracking.
Each breath I took, I felt a crack in the marrow of me. There was a harsh whisper in my ears, taunting me with each beat of my heart.
Weak. Used. Disgusting. Sick.
I felt the way my chest tightened and the way my heart seemed to give way under the pressure.
Pain. So much pain…an agony that was eating the inside of me, burning me with flames and acid pouring into my veins.
It was a silent torment I endured.
It was harsh and unyielding.
No escape.
Thump. Beat. Thump. Beat.
Valentin had used me many times before. He had forced me to feel pleasure many times before, against my own will. Many times I tried to fight it. My brain refused to acknowledge what he was forcing my body to feel, and every time I’d lose.
The drugs were more powerful than my will to fight against his torturous touch.
I was exhausted to the bone, and couldn’t hold myself upright any longer. My legs started to shake like a newborn fawn, and I felt cold, chilled to the point that my teeth were chattering.
Viktor noticed, and he stepped forward.
Thump. Beat. Thump. Beat.
My gaze was still fixated on him, and he didn’t look away. He walked around the glass shards that were now on the floor.
